Fucking JEALOUS. lol Seriously, I think I've put about 15 people onto his work within the past weeks, and I myself only found The Sound about 3 weeks ago! SOOOOOOO amazing and yet SOOOOOOO overlooked! I would give almost anything to be able to tell him how much his music means to me and others! And it just hurts to think he and they never received the recognition they deserved when it mattered. Well, I guess I'll just have to keep switching folks onto him and them until they're elevated to their rightful place as among the best bands of their time! :-)
I hope your personal loss is made lighter by making new friends along the path Adrian paved - it's where the love is. So grateful to have these recordings.
I never saw Adrian or The Sound---but everytime I see something old that is new to me, I miss him even more. Thank you for posting this. FROM ACROSS THE POND-------ADRIAN, YOUR A MONUMENT TO LOVE....
ALFRED BOS was a journalist working from the musicpaper OOR .he liked the sound but thought they were not gonna make it,because they were not commercial enough like u2 $ echobunnymen who were markable and commercial. THE SOUND WERE BIG IN HOLLAND and to pellezeur this is 81 no hdcams were around !if you were born yesterday enjoy the music coz this will never return.THE SOUND IS THE BEST BAND THAT TOURED HOLLAND IN THE 80s MUSIC STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART I know coz I was there taping livefromthep.a
Adrian, you will never know how much you are loved. You're creative genius will forever shine on through that gift you left all of us,your amazing music.
The Sound, they come to Bari to give a concert. I and my girlfriend went to the place, Adrian Borland was probably too drank. He pronounced a few bad words and disappeared. No music, no show. I still miss that concert. I miss them. They still represent a not common milestone !
Great track from a great album. After „From The Lions Mouth“ the record company wanted them to make an even more commercial album. They didn’t obey. They had a real punk attitude, although never being a punk band.
@leponti This is still dedicated to Alfred Boss (?) even though he still takes us for granted. I had a talk with him this afternoon and eh... come on Aflred you know..it's....
Sei stato un grande Adrian

I fell in love with Adrian's music. What a wonderful musician. Although he isn't well known, to me he is the God of Music. A true musical genious.

Posted 11 years ago, still zero dislikes, in the fickle world of TH-cam that speaks volumes.
Obsessed with this.
