- How to make JBL Charge 5 Louder
I have recently reviewed a Bluetooth Speaker that was filled with Wool and was wondering if I can make the JBL Charge 5 sound bigger and louder by doing the same. To be honest I wasn't expecting much as the Charge 5 is already tuned to perfection and I was surprised that I made a small noticeable difference.
I don't recommend doing this as it will void your Warranty and may also break your speaker as the drive will be put under more stress with this method.
However if you are curious and want more sound for your speaker please give this a go and let us know if you can hear the difference.

Peace :)

1dB is not doubling the actual sound energy. Every 6 dB represents a doubling of amplitude, however a better, though also non-exact, rule-of-thumb is that every 10 dB increase is a doubling of perceived loudness.
Actually, for every 3 db increase in sensitivity, it requires have the amount of power, to get the same loudness, & or output.
Thanks for this! My only issue with this speaker so far is the volume steps are just way too steep. It goes from quiet at one level and I turn it up just one more level and it's super loud
Found a few solutions if anyone is struggling with this:
First solution was to unlock developer mode on phone and there is an option called "Disable Absolute Volume". This will unlink volume steps of the speaker and phone and allow more volume fine tuning.
Second solution is use a phone with more volume steps.
Final solution you can adjust the JBL app eq below 0. Hope this helps someone out!
@@skatemangofacts thanks
All you did is change the resonant frequency response, the human ear can’t distinguish a db or two.
Also your decreasing the cooling of the amp, as that moving air in the chamber helps cool the heat sync.
Wow!! I follow your idea and make this to all my jbl speakers: jbl charge3, flip4 and xtreme2.
I didnt have industrial foam, filled with sanitar foam, but wow! What an improvement!! Not specially for overall power, but what I notice wright away was the better overall sound, charge3 became way more crisper! No more muffled sound, is really incredible! No need to use equalizer now.
Same improvement to clip4, is not harsh, just clearer and think also a little more powerfull.
Is just like a new (better) firmware made. At extreme2 the sound was so obvoius cganged, but is there!
Of course we dont have same ears and we have different expentantions from a speaker, but for me was a noticeable improvement, why they dont put foam in speakers in factory?
Thanks a lot for this video, yoyu make my day a lot more happy, no need now to upgrade flip4 to flip6, or charge 3 to charge6, the sound now is really nice to old generation! I'm interested more for the sound quality and less for overall power. Respect! :)
Da forma que você fez diminui muito as baixas frequências e deixa a caixa mais plana tirando os ganhos que vem da jbl, que buscam um resposta de frequência em forma de (U) que é a curva de resposta mais agradável para os ouvidos 👂.
Hi dose this make the speaker sound disoriented
How about changing the twitter with driver/speaker? I think charge 3 driver fits 🤔
It would sound worse

Please what can I do my JBL fliip 5 speaker bass is not working but treble working and what can I do
Check the wires first make sure they didnt disconnect
I used do this with my car sealed subwoofer box. Not to make it louder, but to lower the bass frequency output. I think you should experiment with how much you wading you put in. As a rule I only used to fill 75% of the cavity, as I found any more than that would make the sound worse.
U just can turn up eq in JBL Connect to 1 point on middle and highs.
and is it true that after the update she lost the tombs?
@@Fabiohobby I don't know. I'm not using this trash during this year.
Is that gonna be burn when heated for long duration of playing?
I like my speaker just the way it is

Im gonna try 🔥
Did it work?
Hi there,I get a distortion sound on my JBL charge 5, anything I can do to clear this?
The one you have is an ND Model, the TL (TT) is louder than the ND
Although the ND has a better bass response than the TL (Because many people preferred this model because of that better bass). And the TL one has good deep bass. But still, both sounded great 👍
I have the TT one and I like it as is🙌
รุ่นนี้เป็นโมโนหรือสเตอริโอคับ
it's 2 channels into one mono drive.

what magnets are used on neodymium speakers?
Yes
If a 47 ohm series resistor is connected to the speaker, white noise will disappear.
👍😎
( sound intensity decreases but white noise disappears
)
'' Try and see ''😎
Its got prs No need for Foam
Will it damage
Careful putting speaker back inside..try not scuff sides of woofer when putting in.i kinda damaged mine not entirely had GORILLA GLUE ON IT LIL WORKS ...GOOD LUCK 🤞
🇮🇹se uso un pannello insonorizzante? - 🇬🇧 if I use a soundproofing panel?
Cia 👋 I guess you can let us know if there are any improvements.
I am the guy who likes the sound just the way it is lol....thanks for this video
😂 thanks for watching :)
I don't care if it's louder, I care if it sounds better. Do you think it sounds better?
Outra coisa! assim você diminui a troca de calor e os componentes internos vão esquentar mais e consequentemente perder potência e consumir mais bateria 🔋.
😮Ciao non si daneggia il woofer?
Does this not make it hotter
How do u take the skin off ? You skipped a step
Do you mean the front cover? I may have it here th-cam.com/video/yLGqrLtXW48/w-d-xo.html
😮Ciao ho fatto la stessa cosa per il jbl go 3😅
