LS XR4155 engine trouble again

LS XR4155 starts knocking then dies, drained fuel filter and primed the system as the service tech stated. It started but knocked badly again, I then pushed the fuel primer multiple times while it was running and the knocking seemed to quiet down till it stopped. Now it runs ok but at idle it intermittently has a slight idle drop with knock.........
