Having listened to a couple of episodes now, I had to come back to episode 1 to give it some love. My son (7) loves DnD stories that I tell him from my own campaign. He'd love CR, but it's still a little adult for him. This podcast and its format are perfect for him. It's a great introduction to the genre. Keep it up!
Interesting, it says actual play in the description, but it sounds more like a scripted radio play. Which I'm fine with, but it's not described like that in the description
They must be AMAZING improv actors to make it sound prepared .... Or they've figured out how to channel forces beyond our comprehension... you know the rules and so do I
@@Whitesaber211 a little editting? more like they cut as much as they kept. At what point does improv just becomes writing a script with only one take? is there even a difference?
My nice and honest thought so far is that it doesn’t feel like a ttrpg. It feels too tight to be improvised. Not that it isn’t, but it lack an energy I’ve come to associate with an actual play and feels like a scripted show. Again, not that it is, but that’s how it comes across. If that’s true and how they want it to be, cool, but that’s not for me. Not negative, just an honest reaction
Nothing gets me into a show better than starting immediately with an ad
Here from the Smosh vidéo because both of you were so iconic! Happy to hear what you’re doing!

They definitely sound either scripted or just rigid.
I continued to listen and they loosen up and get comfortable. 😁
this is great! what a great take on live plays, and i dig the characters too!
37:16 end of break
Definitely sounds like a pre-rolled radio play, stylized to act like live play.
Ah they finally released this on TH-cam
Why am I only now seeing this?!?
9:04 which moon
Possible crossover coming soon, is that why they added this all to TH-cam?
I'm sure this was played in a normal fashion and after that edited and polished removing anything that's not game related.
what is this, sounds like they're reading from a script?

it's amazing what session notes , improv and a little editing can do

It's a retelling of their session.
This feels like someone took session notes and re-recorded the session. I wouldn't call it actual play, i also wouldn't call it good
So many negative nancies, so little nice comments :/
What has this fandom become?
Honest?
