its hilarious to me how obscure and unknown lapfox is when like at LEAST 3 of their songs are staples in popular internet culture, with another handful being related to lesser known but still popular internet culture like rhythm games and roblox.
What is it about lapfox that makes them so unique compared to the thousands of others out there?, literally the only musician that actually makes me feel a wide mix of emotions I cannot explain whenever I listen to their songs, literally only them. They seemed to have mastered the abstract quality of sound and originality. I could only dream.
really? it was the very first name emma went by! a few years ago she re-released her first album, it should be on the halley channel. "neko - the precursor"
@@chromerotica i'm not actually sure on that one! possibly. emma herself claims that neko - the precursor was her first proper album though, so i guess it was her first "alias" in that sense.
Lapfox is what introduced me to breakcore and jungle in the first place, I found out about it by watching an old video about the "scariest geometry dash courses" and one of them had The Big Black by TQBF and i swear to god i got hoooked.
This is a nice idea, some stuff here is very obscure and I hadn't hear of it For a personal obscure fav of mine, I would recommend Furries in a Blender - Synapse: haven't seen any real talk about it but it's really nice IMO
Been listening since I first got into the furry fandom back in 2008. I think my biggest phase was 2008-2012. For nostalgia's sake I've been listening again. After this mix I'm thinking Arcadepunk next.
Damn these sure are obscure!! Finally!! Almost all mixes that are lapfox-centric or include lapfox are like, the same 7 tracks that blew up semi-recently. Refreshing to hear some of their older works in the wild!
thank you for putting r.f.o.m on here, genuinely! its one of my favorites off broken city, it just has such a nice whimsy to it. anything jaql is also a great choice ^_^ also edit: i am 1000% sure 18:28 is on broken core under another name?
its from the renard furaffinity archive whcih is full of a lot of scraps, wips, and other unreleased things. theres an upload here on yt with all the songs but u can download the whole thing on the internet archive
lapfox is already underrated and obscure
so true lol

It USED to be big back then but now its barely being talked about

Which songs are you thinking of? I'm not that much into internet culture.
@@Enzwurmi think they might be talking about songs like rubberband, which was used in the meme penis music.

Lapfox seemed to have developed their own sub-genre basically. It's too different from other music to be compared to anything else honestly.
@@jothepossum Real art.
Listening to this playlist has permanently changed my taste in music. can't wait to see where this journey through lapfox takes me

LOL I was also introduced to TQBF through Geometry Dash with that very song. The pipeline is strong
I love when people focus on the lesser known stuff, so much stuff here i haven't seen included in other playlists
The tracks under "neko" are often the really rare things. As it was their first slightly more serious alias. Some got re-released as Emoticon tracks.
Headshot is one of my favorite lapfox songs. Im glad it was added!
good taste! has been one of my faves for years
This art of Renard is so cool, dude
that transition into the first and second song was sooo good omg
Emma is one of the only people who has truly mastered almost every genre, they can make almost anything and it'll sound amazing every time.

Oh hey, one of the few decent Darius tracks. Most stuff from Darius is boring, confusing, and just not very fun or interesting (in my opinion)
