I love Sea Hawk! Or, well... At least I like the German and Dutch / Fr*nch Sea Hawk, the British one is mid. I truely believe these are some of the best, if not the best premium jets one can buy. Not just compared to other Tier 5 premiums, but also compared to the premiums found at Rank 6, Rank 7, and Rank 8.

I think part of it is that it's harder to shell out the cash when with a little more spending you can get aircraft that can grind the entire tree. I think most folks buy premiums for grinding rather than novelty

I got a test drive for it way back when it came out, and I can confirm, you are describing it EXACTLY on point as to how it is actually played. Of course, the plane IS in the French tech tree, so not many people buy it.

best dogfights are with props, before the competency curve starts dropping rapidly once you enter jet territory
While true, prop ARB is abysmal. People run away, airfield camp, spam bombers, etc. I'm just not interested. It also gets barely any views.
dawg i remember the time when this thing was the only "non propeller" aircraft that i can test drive in the whole german tech tree

3:38 in realistic sure, in arcade the premium Sea Vixen FAW Mk.2 has 4 red tops/firestreaks at 8.0, used to be 8.7 in RB but it went to 9.0

The jet is actually named after the same base I'm stationed at ATM for phase 2 training
The Meteor F Mk 8 Reaper and F-86F-40 JASDF are some of my favorite premium planes to play just because of their fun play style like what you described about the Sea Hawk Mk.50. I might snag myself one when it goes on sale again just for that sweet SL multiplier and dogfight gameplay.
Both you can only face in a full uptier, and can still kinematically dodge them with relative ease; you just have to be careful to not get caught off-guard.

I watched your video about the German one when it went on sale and it's easily my favorite premium plane, since then I've used it to get as far in the German tree as it would get me. I'm currently saving my GE to pick it up when it goes on sale but I've been tempted to pick it up full price
You just made me update the game again.
Back in the days i git the g91 r4 for grinding the italian tech tree. Got all the way to the F104-s and played some. But i was quickly fed up with the jet meta.
After that i chose the mk100 to grind the germans, and honestly i didnt care about grinding after some time. It was just casuallay playing and having fun.

if you have fun with that, try the sk60b. Together with the rbo5, its hard to score 1 or even 2 kills.
But if you do, it is the most rewarding feeling ever. And these poor Bombers dont stand a chance.
The premium Sea Hawks are the best vehicles for it's br for me, I have never lost a dogfight with the german Sea Hawk Mk.100, I have grinded almost the whole air german tech tree and made about 10mil SL, the only times I barely struggle are on full up-tiers

You should make a video on the Ariete. I think it is a highly slept on plane as noone plays italy so not many people buy it. I have had some of my most fun times ever playing the game when I fly it.
German Mig19 has no missiles at 9.3... and only 210 rounds of ammo.
I considered buying it, instead bought the F1C-200, I did buy the Sea Vixen instead of a rank 6-7 premium though for the British.

The closest thing that does carry AAM at that BR is the SAAB 105G
I have the german Sea Hawk for a few years (as far as I remember I bought it with premium Leo in a pack) and NEVER played it. I guess I have to give it a chance, especially the aviation tree is not finished yet. ;)
It's silly how the FGA.6 is the same BR as these two which have missiles, yes AIM9B aren't the best but they're better then just having guns only.
FGA.6 should be dropped back down to 7.7, imao

I have the German one and it was the first jet I ever got, I have top tier for a couple countries now and it’s still probably my favorite every.

I've also got the german one, its a fun aircraft.
When they added the custom loadouts to it, it became the best fighter bomber Germany has to offer at this tier and arguably the best in the game.
Exactly how many jets in the 8.0-8.7 range can carry t missles with a full load of bombs and rockets at the same time?
Seahawk mk100 my beloved and first ever premium I got hated it at first but it grew on me so much as time went on as very capable

the shafir 2 is a scary missile and while the red top dosent get much range its still 18gs
They actually changed the red top (like half a year ago now). It's now only 12Gs, but also twice as fast with about 3.5km average rear aspect range (from the lightning).

The Hawk will outturn most jets, even the sabres, and the ones that can outturn you, are easily avoided by staying fast because they compress a lot. Like the mig15bis and the early meteors.

I dont really understand why people arent buying the Sea Hawk too
because it's french you must remember war thunder is filled with USA/Germany/USSR fenboys, 80% of war thunder players have never touched the french tech tree, therefore it being less played, i play it because it isnt played alot therefore i always has the upper hand, because who know my 100mm had a 4s reload time

Haven't even watched but I wanted to say that I DO want it, but it being so new during the last sales it never got discounted. I'm never paying full price for anything, let alone what this one costs.
Oh, and while I actually prefer the german skin, that thing will practically never get discounted, and besides I'm done with the German tree so it's kinda useless to me lol.

This is also why the F9F-8 is still pretty fun. It has a bit worse performance and 2 more missiles but otherwise the ups and downs are pretty simmilar. I recommend.
(I also realy recommend the F9F-5, just don't use your WEP at the start of the match and save it for dogfights).
