That bird is Garuda (mythological creature, WIshnu’s vehicle which resembles an eagle) Guardian of Nusantara. Indonesia has been colonized for hundreds of years until the independence day. So many people died in the process of that, And Garuda is the symbolic of the guardian and “Garuda Pancasila” is the national emblem of Indonesia.

Dalam relief ini arca Garuda digambarkan seolah terbang dengan sayap mengepak, sementara kedua kakinya mencengkeram seekor gajah dan kura-kura (@ferysolo1600).
