I got to see this just a couple of days after this recording. It was my first time experiencing Wicked live, though I've been in love with the soundtrack since childhood! I was tearing up after Act One-it felt so surreal!
God the conductor is SO prominent in this theater, his head seems to be well above the stage, that would be so distracting for me if I sat in the front orchestra!
@@murvo I haven’t sat directly behind the conductor before, typically in the front of orchestra B next to the conductor, but I feel like it usually isn’t this bad. The other conductor didn’t stick up that much either the other night I went. Maybe just this guy!
I must disagree. Lauren is one of the best to sing the role in awhile starting all the way from her debut. I do think Carly is incredibly strong as well though.

I would watch it. I just saw her and her rendition of it gave me chills
I think she is stronger than Lauren. I also get a Jackie Burns vibe from her.
I went twice and only saw Carly, she is absolutely incredible, didn’t regret not seeing Lauren.
