I remember hearing some episode of No Dogs In Space where they talked about a time that Bad Brains opened for Dead Kennedys and blew them outta the water apparently. Wish I'd been there
I know right, and they are so different which kinda makes it harder. I would personally go with DK, but their self titled, which was in the video, is one of their most iconic albums so it’s crazy.
But Dead Kennedys aren’t a punk rock band, they’re a nu wave band 😂

These shorts have been a really wholesome way for Anthony to interact with fans/fellow music nerds. I know some of them roast users, but it's always done in good humor.
One thing I will say about that Black Flag album:
The track Six Pack is fire.

If The Clash are hardcore punk then the Steve Miller Band is thrash metal
they arent but they released all their stuff in the same years as the hardcore bands, which is why i believe they get thrown in like this
the British scene had a more traditional punk sound but emerged after the American scene which by that time had moved onto hardcore

Fresh fruit for rotting vegetables is one of my like top 10 favourite albums. It is so unique and personality-filled, and the guitar and bass riffs and tones are just unmatched, East Bay Ray is a beast.
As soon as I saw the other guys face I already knew he was gonna have great taste and get the Melon seal of approval

Hardcore punk was really more of an American scene thing, but its emergence occurred simultaneously with traditional punk doing well in the British scene. I get why the Clash get mixed in because they dropped their albums in the same years hardcore emerges

"London Calling" and "Raw Power" are obviously great albums, but don't really belong in a hardcore punk bracket to begin with.
