    打得独特。和我学的太乙五行拳很多动作大得不一样。现在的三丰派太乙五行拳改了也很多。觉得这样打比现在的好多。

have watched several performances of these new wu dang forms. and I have a question. why do they keep mixing up all different internal arts together? I watch the bagua, and it's got parts from tai chi and hsing-i. tai chi, same thing. same here, you can almost see how they constructed it from pieces of these "parent" arts. other than branding, why are they doing this? why not teach the classic arts in their pure form?

The process you're describing ie the mixture and amalgamation of various arts has been happening since ancient times. These arts were not handed down from heaven in complete fixed forms. In fact, even the "internal arts" are an synthesis of Chinese folk "boxing arts" that have been influenced by qi gong practices. In Chinese tradition, if something is "old" it must be good. In fact, the older the better because the Chinese believe in and ancient golden era. But it's a myth. The fighting arts are still evolving.

I agree they are evolving. but is mixing them up the same as evolving? I see that tai chi has a specific set of principles, of which bagua and hsing-i share some but not all. I see each of these arts as having been developed pretty thoroughly. if you mix them all up, do you ever really understand the roots of what you are trying to do? do these artists even know how to do hsing-i in it's pure form? do they know when to use tai chi principles, and when to switch to bagua? I see a lot of little things, (and some BIG ones) being lost in his performance, and I wonder if he knows how poorly he's doing it, by traditional standards? it's a nice outfit and he's clearly serious about his training, but does he really understand it? I honestly don't think so. and I think that if you really want to get the most out of these arts, you want to know why you mix things and when. just like you don't just mix wrestling and BJJ, you have to know how they interact so you can use the best of both. same here...

@@stillnessinmovement You seem to have been involved with the martial arts and philosophies for a very long time and are certainly what one can call a master. My question: Can you learn the traditional forms and how can I learn them, especially Tai Ji and Qi Gong? Greetings from Germany AnLa
