Hi! Popping here just to say that I have finally tried a sample of Liis Bo after hearing your comments about it and... wowww! It's now number one in my wishlist. There's something so comforting about it! After Spiritcask, this will be my second purchase because of your reviews. Thank you for your recommendations, Anne. Groetjes!
Essential Parfumes ‘ Divine Vanille’ has the same perfumer as ‘Herod’. It smells very similar. It’s gorgeous and is a very reasonable price! I love it! ❤
So weird this didn’t come through me feed. I had to search your channel because I hadn’t seen anything recently. I love that you finally found an Initio you love. ❤❤ And I always thought it was funny there was no tobacco note listed in Maissa tobacco. 😅
Oh wonderful 🙈😩 Well thank you for checking in!! ❤️ Oud for Greatness has been a long time favorite for me! I really enjoy Musk Therapy as well, but have a middle eastern dupe for that one :)
Hey Anne. You are really wonderful and you do your job so well, showing charm, professionalism and a real passion for fragrances. I’m 58 yrs old and I’ve learned so much from you. I find that your and Chris’s (Perfume Nest) recommendations have been so very close to my own preferences. I enjoy your videos. You are luminous. Great job! Keep it up. 😋
I finally got Liis Bo. I actually got the discovery set then the coupon code which made the set free so that was a plus. Point is… I LOVE it. Thank you for sharing such a special fragrance. It is hard not to wear every day❤
I was waiting for a new video and checking your channel every single day (ended up going through all the old videos) ❤ please post more often 🙏 I love your reviews and how well you describe the perfumes
Naxos is my hubbys signature perfume and what got him hooked into niche quality perfumes. I'm looking for a sweet tobacco but not a fan of TF TobVanille. I do enjoy Armani Magenta Tanzanite and FDB Minuit et Demi as well. Tobacco just makes a perfume sooo beautiful and rich! Need to go test Amouage Sunshine
I love the note of tobacco and own every one of these fragrances. I recently bought Bois de Vanille based on your recommendation, and I love it. You have great taste. I also love House of Bo. I own 4, and want them all!
Hi miss Anne thanks for this amazing video could you do a review on the fragrances house of Liquide Imaginaires they have some gems like Sancti and Desert Suave
Hey Anne🎉 TFS❤ I really want a nice feminine tobacco fragrance. Will check out ur recommendations. I notice u like offerings from d house of Maissa. Cld u do dedicated video for dt?
hey! My favorites from Maissa are Tobacco Elixir, Holy Oud, and L'Amour Eternel! And then Jawhara, Destin des Anges, and Jasmin Mysterieux were "likes" for me. I do have reviews up for these, but their other fragrances weren't my cup of tea 💕
Hi Anne! Could you please look into doing a house review of the perfume house ånd ? I haven’t found any videos about the house, possibly because the name is ubiquitous. I like the notes of their perfumes Båre and Måd and think you might also. Thanks in advance! ❤ from Texas
I love this so much, thank you! Question: have you tried Ambre Tabac by Daniel Josier? I have heard really good things about it, but haven't tried it yet, but it sounds amazing.
Hi Anne! Always glad to see you post❤Superb tobacco list. I'm sampling Magenta Tanzanite thanks to you! It's quite lovely. But Casa Blanca is next FB😁And in case you don't post again soon...Happy Birthday! 🥳Hope your special day is fabulous!
Oh my gosh you made my day!! I can't believe you remembered that it's coming up! 💕🥹 You're so sweet! Oh yes, I think that one is fabulous, shoot I wish I included that in the video 😆! If I didn't have Minuit et Demi I would pick up a bottle 🥰 Did you see that House of Bō's Black Friday sale is live?? 25% off!
I am baffled any time people say tobacco fragrances smell like ashtrays cause tobacco is a note, note an ingredient. Its made to evoke the scent of tobacco, either tobacco leaf or processed tobacco, not cigarettes or lit tobacco or the ash of said cigarettes. Its purely a psychological thing that conjures up that for people. Looking forward to trying those you mention here that I dont know. There ARE perfumes that evoke cigarette like ELDO Jasmin et Cigarette, no tobacco note listed
Hi! I mention a bunch in this video! 🥰 th-cam.com/video/ePonhrwksso/w-d-xo.html And once I have a bigger tuberose collection I can absolutely do a dedicated video for it! ❤️
I love Sunshine Woman, Narcotic Delight and Tobacco Elixir. Herod and Beat Cafe I enjoy but need to try on skin again, next time I am in London. I recommend Franck Boclet - Tobacco (but recommend to wait for the drydown cause initially it is super clove heavy on me, it reads Christmas time to me). Excited to try others here!
I'll have to get my nose on Franck Boclet Tobacco, would you say it's redundant at all to own both Tobacco and Maissa Tobacco Elixir? I see that people are comparing it to Tobacco Vanille online
@@AnneLauren I will compare the two side by side in the next few days and get back to you :) I think all three are a little different but maybe not enough different.
@@AnneLauren I'm currently 2 hours into wearing them side by side (tried to evenly spray, but FB is a decant in a glass 5ml sprayer and MP is an official sample from a Maïssa discovery set, small plastic sprayer). I haven't had my nose on Tobacco Vanille for over a year, so this is from memory. But I'd say Maïssa is 85-95% similar, whereas Franck Boclet is 65-75% FB is more warm spicy, "Christmassy" leaning. MP is more vanillic, powdery and lactonic with more subdued spices. The spices are there but not in the foreground as much. FB reminds me of Christmas markets as we get here in Europe (idk how they operate across there and maybe you visit the Netherlands and know!). It reminds me of the wooden huts that spring up temporarily, decorations made of cinnamon sticks and dried orange slices and twine etc, "mulled" spices used in hot wine or cider. (Cider being diff from US cider, it is alcoholic, similar ABV to beers, different process, havent tried US cider, I think they do taste different even excluding the alcoholic content, just important if that invokes the mulled cider for us differently). Not saying it smells like orange slices or wine or cider. But it transports me to those markets, ambling around with friends, but its more this time of year when they first spring up, it isnt bitterly cold yet, first frost yet to come, still some sunny warmer days. FB is more masc leaning whereas MP is more feminine leaning but both easily unisex. MP reminds me somewhat of a masala chai (sans the tea) due to the lactonic powdery creamyness and the ginger and cinnamon etc. I only applied 2 light sprays of each evenly dispersed. Beforehand I picked up clove super prominently with FB when applied with a heavier hand. It is still clove prominent esp before dry down but a lighter hand made it a lot more "bearable". (Bearable as in some people will not like clove like that, I wasnt bothered).
@@AnneLauren personally I would be more inclined to say MP is redundant if you have/have tried TV, FB not redundant, def worth a sample or sniff, not a blind buy for sure. I am gonna see if I can try them both AND TV to compare, but cant do that till the 23rd, also will try Herod, Jazz Club and Spicebomb too cause why not. Then have a decant of Back to Black and sample of Cuir Cuba Intense (Nicolai). So will let you know if interested 😅 I tend to compare similar profiles like that anyway when I visit my nearest city or other cities. Tobacco was one on my list :) do wanna get my nose on others but it'll have to wait till I am next in London
I loved Herod so much, sometimes I want to change it up a bit, it can get a bit stuffy what would pair well with it and what note would you pick out to layer?
i love tobacco fragrances. whenever my grandpa would babysit us as kids he would take us to the corner tobacco store where he would buy pipe tobacco and lottery tickets, and my brothers and i would get penny candy. LMAO god love the 90s. i love the smell of unsmoked cigars and pipe tobacco probably for nostalgic reason.
I'm considering blind buying a dupe for Herod, but I'm worried it's gonna be too masculine for me. Everyone was saying Althair was super unisex and even feminine leaning, and I smell a clear barbershop undertone that just makes it too masculine for me. Is Herod even more masculine? Somebody help 😭
@@noelleirina5628 To my nose, Herod is perfectly unisex, but if Althair felt masculine for you, I think Herod might as well, because I feel like Herod goes a bit more in the masculine direction compared to Althair. So I would definitely recommend sampling first! ❤️
I’ll be honest, the first time I smelled Sunshine I felt so lied to, it was so gross 😅 I could only smell an ash tray. I wore it once just to be sure and bought a full bottle a few days later! I don’t know what changed in those couple hours but it’s one of my favorites now!
We’ve missed you Anne ! Have you tried Un Air d’Apoge by Violet ? Even though it has a note of hay, trust me , it’s lovely. Please try Antidote by Regalien, it has a similarity with Naxos, but I don’t find it redundant. Take care 😃
hmm, I can't recall if I've tried it or not, I feel like I have but I can't find it in my notes anywhere? I'm definitely cautious about the hay and mimosa 😄 I know that I have yet to experience Antidote though!
Great list! I have a few on my wishlist. I just blind bought Soufflot by Miller Harris 🤞 It looks like a very promising cooler weather scent with a tobacco note 🤎.

I love Oh La La by Teo Cabanel. It's powdery, feminine, and comforting. I love the tobacco note and the little bit of hazelnut.
My favorite is Santa Maria Novella Tabacco Toscano
