29:50 - One way you learn countries, and this is going to sound very stupid, but I swear it works and it's probably how most people really do it, is just through learning 1 or 2 kind of interesting facts to anchor that country in your brain.
Like, I learned where the Comoros Islands were a couple weeks ago, because of a tweet about the recent French elections. It turns out that one of the Islands in the chain, Mayotte, is still part of France, and is, like, the MOST right-wing 'district' in the French elections, because the other islands are so poor that their citizens keep just sailing over to the (still poor by European standards) French island and starting new lives and families there, so the island is 48% immigrants, which pisses off the native voters.
Also (and I know NL doesn't read these, but whatever), as a PNW guy, I've made Koshary and it's better than it might sound at first. There's less macaroni than rice/lentils, and the tomato sauce is punchy enough that the pasta still feels "sauced".
All I did was play Seterra country click for a few hours and learned every country and their locations from there. NL needs to stop watching half of a 3/10 movie on an airplane and boot up African countries and he'll finally stop thinking Tunisia is in south western africa.
@@Chooopy I learned them from Sporcle quizzes. NL did use to play a lot of Sporcle, though I think he only did Europe when it comes to clicking the countries (and he also did US states).
