  • Your clients will not be able to see inside of their own project the same way that you can as the Dubsado owner. Any notes, call logs, project statuses, project tags, workflows or tasks will always be for internal use. There may, however, be situations when you want to make it easier for your client to access the content you've shared with them through Dubsado, which you can do with a client portal.
A client portal is like a locker where your client can see invoices, contracts, and forms all in one place. A client portal is not required, because you always have the option to email content directly, but it can come in handy at points in your process where you want to send multiple pieces of content at once, without bombarding your client with multiple emails.
    How to Preview
To preview a client portal, you'll first need to activate a portal inside a project from the project sidebar. Click on the down arrow next to portal, then activate. When you click on the down arrow again, you'll see an option to view the portal, which will take you to a sign in page on a separate tab. Enter the client's email to sign in.
Inside you'll see the exact same client portal your client would see. As soon as a portal is activated, certain information will be visible automatically. That includes the project's name, project's date, client's info, and any invoices, confirmed appointments, or sent emails.
    Adding New Content
Additional content needs to be shared in order to be visible in the client portal. That includes questionnaires, contracts, sub-agreements, proposals and schedulers. As soon as you email any of this content, it will be added to the client's portal automatically.
You also have the option to add content directly to the portal, without notifying the client via email. This is a great strategy if you want to load in multiple forms before sending the client an email with their portal login information. The client will only be able to access their portal once you've provided the link and password information to them.
    Tip #1
You can customize certain elements in the client portal. Head to Settings - Portal to see your options.
    Tip #2
By default, the portal password will be the client's email address. You can overwrite this with a different password manually by clicking next to the password information.
    Tip #3
If you've given your client access to a specific task board, the client will access that board through their client portal.
