Love this video and concept! I will be checking out The Familiar for spooky season. Guernsey is a cozy book and cozy movie as well, if you’ve not seen it ❤

So glad you enjoyed this, it was really fun to do! Yes, I think The Familiar would be a perfect October read. I haven't seen the movie version of Guernsey, it would be fun to see all those colorful characters on the screen! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!😊🧡

Love the book talk with asmr🙃
I recently finished When the Day Comes by Gabrielle Meyer. 5 stars I definitely recommend. A great dual timeline read in NY setting during 1774 and 1914 historical romance. Libby is a time crosser and at her 21st birthday she must choose which life she wants to live. 📚🥰

What a sweet surprise! This was such a pleasure to watch (as all your videos are) but this one especially. I’m so happy you enjoyed Guernsey! It is awesome you took the time to read it and give your review. Very interesting to learn that Annie Barrows helped Shaffer finish the book. I wrote in my Goodreads review that I wished there was an epilogue because I thought it ended a bit abruptly for my taste, but knowing that there was another author involved might explain it. Thanks again for the video. It made my day! 😊

I'm so glad you enjoyed this, thanks again for the recommendation! I felt the same way about the ending. I felt it had such a nice pace throughout the novel and then the end seemed abrupt. I wanted more of Juliet and Dawsey together! I loved it overall, though, and I probably would never had read it without your suggestion, so thank you! Our conversations about books always lift me up!😊💙

You look gorgeous in this video!
In honor of it being Halloween season, I recommend reading Dracula by Bram Stoker if you haven’t yet. It’s my favorite book. My daughter I had recently (4 weeks old now!) is named after a main character in it ❤️ it’s a classic and wonderful, and a little spooky

Oh, thank you, you're so kind! And YES, reading Dracula this season in a perfect suggestion, I've not read it before. My sister in law was a professional ballet dancer for many years, and her company did a ballet version of Dracula based on the novel every October that was phenomenal, and I always meant to read it. This will be the year, thanks for suggesting it!
And I have to say, every time you mention your daughter, it gives me a little boost of joy. Definitely keep me updated on how you're both doing, I'm continuing to send you good wishes!🥰💕

@@quietcomfortasmr a Dracula ballet sounds amazing! I would totally see that - how cool! I’m interested to see how you like it if you do end up reading it! Then of course you’ll need to watch the movie with Gary Oldman in it, although that’s different from the book.
Thank you for the sweet comment! She brings me joy, too! Being a mother is the best thing to me and I’m soaking up every moment! Thank you for sharing the excitement with me! 🙏🏼❤️🌼

@@syddroeee I've officially requested Dracula from the library, so I'm in! And oh my gosh, I love Gary Oldman, didn't realize he had been Dracula. Might be too creepy for me to handle, but maybe if I watch it in broad daylight, haha!
I'm so happy for you during this special time in your life! I don't have kids, but I have a 3-years old niece who is very special to me, and I admire my sister so much for balancing all the elements of being a mother. How cool that your daughter has a literary name, I'm sure she is such an amazing little person! So exciting for you to watch her grown and learn, and become who she is meant to me!! xoxo

Your book asmr is so so nice! I love your soft spoken. I've read all of Leigh Bardugo's work except The Familiar, so I'm curious to know what I'll think!

@@quietcomfortasmr Her Six of Crows duology is my absolute favorite, but it's set in her Grishaverse series and may be a little confusing if you haven't read the initial trilogy! I also really enjoy her adult Ninth House series (2 books so far), but they are a little dark. Nothing too gory, mainly just dark topics and themes! Ninth House is pretty perfect for October/autumn though. :)

Have you ever read any Kristin Hannah? I recently read The Women by her and it was a 5 star read for me. Also, an unexpected 5 star was All the Colors of the Dark by Chris Whitaker. It’s a mystery/thriller which I don’t normally read but this one was so good. Plot twist after plot twist and though it is long and a difficult read at times, I thought it was fantastic.

Ooh, thank you for these suggestions. I have not read Kristin Hannah, will check her out. I don't typically read thrillers either, but I've been branching out, so who knows!!😊I truly appreciate your recommendations, it's so fun to have someone else's input who can point me in interesting directions!💞
