Sitting here in chilly, snowy Minnesota, my inability to naturally absorb English spoken with a Kiwi accent really trips me up from time to time. For instance, take 0:15 "...a stunning two hundred watt balanced integrated amplifier that's --> alleged" lol
Useable IP control would have been great. I love the sound from mine but having to use the remote for everything is painful. Using PC-USB via Roon has no volume control unless i use DSP Attenuation.. painful and i lose MQA if i use DSP
Rotel has never tried to be good at control. They sound AMAZING for the price! And with that in-mind you have to forgive them for some of the "off main topic" stuff not being 100% polished.
Imagine for a moment, you are standing looking at the most stunning piece of art. World renound. The artist has spent their lifetime on their art.... and someone wants to mess with it!
Hello, thank you putting together this video; very hopeful. I have a question, I just this model and noticed a blue ring around the volume knob. Is it supposed to light up?
@@TLPCHC I’m not sure that is the case. Looking at my Rotel and other videos it doesn’t seem the volume blue ring illuminates. So I looked at the online manual and it states “Power LED Dimmer. To change the brightness of the Power LED and the two Speaker Selector LEDs on the front panel, press the MENU button to toggle to the POWER LED Setting.” But it doesn’t mention the volume knob.
I honestly think Rotel missed an opportunity here to move this into the fore as central component within a multi-faceted A/V system. Just one single HDMI input with eARC could make this the ultimate 'living room' amp -- as opposed to more of a customary 'listening room' int amp. Since nobody really needs 6 total coax and toslink inputs, removing a couple of those in favor of the HDMI seems easily done.
The MF will be better. But for the Money find an Atoll IN-200 int amp, which is way cheaper and easily as good. www.listeningpost.co.nz/brands/atoll-electronique/atoll-electronique-in200-signature-integrated-amplifier-__I.474070__C.473746__N.27183 Or the bigger IN-300
I love the look of Rotel!
Yes - Simple, elegant, yet massively powerful
I have to agree. Looks nice and clean!
Thanks for an in-depth and relaxed unboxing. Thinking of buying this to power my Klipsch RF7 MKIIIs, especially since it has home theater bypass.
The Rotel will ensure your speakers won't sound too shouty.
Thank you for the review. Really thinking of buying this amp. Oh and you crack me up tossing all the stuff to the side :)
Thanks Stan. In my more recent video's you can see photo's of the mess I make.

"....balanced integrated amplifier that's A LEGEND...", he says.
@@afelcandy Exactly, and it's apparent in context that's what is being said. But the misinterpretation amused me nonetheless.
Great review mate, the only question is black or silver!
Such a great integrated amp, most companies cheap out on their DAC and power supply.
Silver. Too much stuff is black

Poor you having to work so hard to listen to music.
very good content enjoy the unboxing
Thanks west Coast
I read somewhere that MQA has gone into administration.
Yes. To many though MQA was just a way of licencing something FLAC did for free.

Great review, for an excellent IA that i happen to own and enjoy a lot. Ty
Thanks Gu
How come all integrated ampli has no fancy sound mode?
Imagine for a moment, you are standing looking at the most stunning piece of art. World renound. The artist has spent their lifetime on their art.... and someone wants to mess with it!
Also Rotel link isnt available on this model as per manual and the Rotel App no longer exists on the Apple store
Enjoy the quality of sound and use the remote
Hello, thank you putting together this video; very hopeful. I have a question, I just this model and noticed a blue ring around the volume knob. Is it supposed to light up?
Yes - it does, but can be switched off (or dimmed) via the Menu / Set Up

eARC has its issues, but I guess you are right. An HDMI input woudl help finish off the amps feature set nicely.
Do u think it can drive my old B&W 804 Matrix ? I am using Rotel pre-amp RTC970 & power amp RB985 for my speakers currently
Yes - Easily
Hello. Perhaps someone listened to a bunch of rotel ra1592 and monitor audio silver 500 7g how are your impressions?
Should be an OK combination
@@TLPCHC Thank you
How does this compare to Musical Fidelity M6si?

suffering snakes---------this puppy could drive a pair of 84db tower speakers and emerge with flying colors!
Yes - Yes it will
Does it have tone controls for base and treble?
Yes - Via the Menu / Set Up
Good review.
Thanks Doc
384 kHz!😎
Thanks Marc
The huge power needs a proper large electric fuse adapter
It is not too huge.
I still love hifi reviewers wasting time on unboxing a product!
This is an unboxing channel
Assembled in China unfortunately.
100% manufactured in China. But, Japanese family and culture of quality!
