Hmm how to make my home look more expensive. Okay cool I'm gonna go out and buy a load of expensive tools pillar drill, mig welder, tig welder and then a load of rebar 😂
While this guy has some fancy equipment the basic tools for what he's doing cost less then 2 grand, most of that is the welder.
@@schuylerashton813 exactly for 2 grand I could buy 100 rebar handles from etsy and save myself a lot of time. I don't have 100 doors in my house if I did I wouldn't worry about trying to make my home look more expensive. Love the vid but the title needs more work 😂

That doesn't make your house look more expensive. It makes it look like you couldn't afford a quality door handle so made one from rebar.
Of course, not everyone likes the same things. I suppose you need to appreciate the art of metal working. But not everyone wants to have the expensive "quality" door handle everyone else has either.

I thru-bored a piece of rebar and installed a barrel liner to make a 'Mad Max' look for a rifle barrel one time. Rebar does give a post apocalypse look and to relate to the young people, a kinda 'Steam-Punk' look...

What is that mini welding machine called? For example at 6:42?
That is by no means a "mini" welding machine! The smallest ones you can buy are a stick welder, or MMC. They are as small as a purse, they have become a lot smaller and cheaper lately because of smaller and more powerful components. Partly what makes a MIG/MAG welding machine big is that you need gas tubes if not using flux wire, which isn't as good, and that it holds a bobbin of welding wire.

@@ahtr55 No problem, I forgot to mention that TIG welding units also are small. They are often combined into the same machine as stick welders or plasma cutters. Plasma cutters are very cool and useful. Though, I need to mention that TIG welding most often are associated with welding that is hard to learn. It is mostly used for welding Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Titanium.

Not to nitpick but it’s good practice to set a hand grinder down with the cutting wheel facing *up.* Seems counterintuitive for safety advice but this is one of the few instances where pointing the blade *toward* you is actually safer.
If it’s facing down and the grinder gets set down at the wrong angle, the spinning blade becomes a wheel and the grinder will yeet itself right off the bench. Seen it happen, not something I want to see again. Scary and dangerous.
Also, if a fracture is induced in the disk while setting it down, the next time it spins up the centrifugal force will shred it and cutoff wheel shrapnel will go flying like a hand grenade. Also terrifying. Maybe more so.
