The manga was so great, but obviously didnt have great things that you can have in anime such as good shot conposition, good soundtrack, good animation, and also a good pacing for maximum emotional impact. Also they are very short, which isnt so much a problem, but the lengthened action scenes in the anime definitely helped its popularity too, and so well animated as well.

Man this made me cry Watching frieren feels like coming back to your hometown after a long time and feeling sad because you miss the old times Yet happy that you got to experience them
The song choice is so fitting. To Frieren, her life span is so long that everything and everyone is temporary to her. They come and go. The one thing that'll always stay the same is the moon. The moon is the only thing that'll remain, long after she also inevitably dies.
I know, some people already pointed this out: The painful thing about immortality is that time goes on for everything and everyone except you. Not only your friends and family die, but also memories, impotant objects and emotions. Everything is constantly changing and aging, but you. And when you start ignoring your feelings and dreams and friends, time won't matter to you anymore. And when you don't live with time in mind, don't care to remember the world around you, you've died from the inside. And that's the problem with eternal life. Some day you will definitely die, psychologically or physiologically.

Immortality is like a never ending repetition of time. It can be considered a blessing as u are able to achieve things which no human can. But it is mostly a curse
@jeffy225 The blessing is that you don't have to worry about the uncertainty of death and get to witness world changing events unfold as they happen. You also have all the power to learn skills, and pioneer a field of research, maybe find the real meaning of life. There are infinite possibilities, well, infinite as far as you mind can go. Although, the downsides far outweigh the upsides, unless you're insane, or had a freaking labotomy so you don't have feelings.

However, as you grow older mentally, you watch your loved ones, the pepole you care abaout, the things you loved being slowly wiped out of existance. You however are forced to wander these worlds for hundreds of years, suffering emotionally and physically untill after milions and millions of years you wonder: *_Was it really worth it?_*
There's something so beautiful and nostalgic about frieren, they give that feeling of their journey so well, and you start at the end of the story. It's just such a beautifully made show.
Watching Frieren makes me feel grateful about life and respects my time. That's why we have death, you could die anytime (maybe tomorrow, next week, or even in the near future), this anime reminds me how short a human life is. So, we have to make every day count and live without regret. Without death, we wouldn't realize how much valuable our time is. Overall, this is a great anime and you should watch it.
"Bồi hồi một cách khó tả" là những gì tôi cảm thấy mỗi khi ngắm nhìn frieren và himmel trước khi mất. Ngay cả sau khi anh ấy mất frieren vẫn luôn nhớ đến anh ấy như là một phần không thể quên trong cuộc đời của cô ấy..😢

Your edit literally made me cry. The anime scenes have reminded me how sad I was after watching this anime and with this song it really hit my heart .TvT
A lullaby to let the pain go. A reminder that despite everything the moon will still rise and you with it. Melancholic and bittersweet, the video and song edit compliment each other excellently.
I told a friend about frieren he tried it and said it's too boring. How can someone be so emotionally unavailable to not enjoy this masterpiece... Maybe people with ADHD aren't able to enjoy it, who knows

Frieren was an anime that I didn't have much expectations for, it more than fulfilled. It's been a long time since I felt empty after finishing an anime.
It is worth opening your heart for the experience of love.. even if it’s just for a fraction of your life. Having denied yourself and others love for each other is so much worse than the heartbreak that might result from it. Even if you only had love for a short moment. At least you had love.
