Awesome flash drive 👍🏻 saw this little gem at Best Buy and it was the only drive with a fingerprint reader. Bought it and was pleasantly surprised the fingerprint security even works on non-Windows devices (I also tried it on my playstation 3, when it reads my fingerprint the encrypted partition is displayed. Neat!)

Yooo silly question but did you partition yours? I can’t seem to find a tutorial and the manual is like reading alien languages. Lol could you point me in the right direction on properly setting this up?

      Does it work with Android

Agreed. I cannot find any driver to download that will make the fingerprint feature operable. It never really worked...well...I was never prompted to do anything that resembled enabling the feature.

How does this work? Does it rely on (OS-dependent) software to unlock the drive with your enrolled fingerprints or is it all handled by firmware? Does it wait for hardware level fingerprint authentication before acting as a Mass Storage device and thus allowing its use on "unsupported" OSes?

Formatted it with NTFS which made it unusable. Lexar is unable to provide download of new firmware!!! I love all my Lexar products but this is not recommended by me.

You're not supposed to format it to NTFS...you just lost the fingerprint reading ability and lexar does not provide a software download since it is drive specific...you will have to buy a new one and use the partitioning software included in the drive, not Windows partition. Also, once you set up the fingerprint and partition it, it is saved within the drive itself so you can also use it on non-Windows devices and the fingerprint feature will still work 👍🏻

@@cestvraimenthorrible3465 I got the 32gb model specifically and it is great for what it does (I use it on my ps3 which only reads fat32 format) if you wanted ntfs you should buy a bigger flash drive

Bill didn't give any details, but most likely the NAND storage chips broke, not the Fingerprint. So no replacement possible.
In general : Don't trust any single storage device with important data.
