America East All-Rookie PG Ace Valentine is UMBC's FLOOR GENERAL of the Future!

UMBC freshman PG Ace Valentine had a strong 'rookie' campaign for the Retrievers, averaging 6.3 PPG, 3.7 RPG and 2.7 APG on 45% shooting.
The young guard finished the season strong, scoring in double figures in 6 of the final 15 games, with 15 or more in four of those outings. Perhaps most impressively, the ball dominant Valentine only turned the ball over 46 times last year in over 825 minutes of action.
Valentine showed improvement beyond the arc as well, shooting 45% from 3 in February and March. Valentine will look to help UMBC get back to its winnings ways in 2024, alongside returning backcourt mates Marcus Banks and Bryce Johnson.
