For those who don't speak, the song is a metaphor for wanting to leave the material world aside and enter the kingdom of God. It's a Sufi style song. The last line is very impactful for me. "Le chal wahan jo mulk tera hai, jahil zamana dushman mera hai" "Take me to the kingdom that belongs to you, these ignorant times are my enemy" When understood in a mystic context, I can experience an ecstatic feeling of oneness and joy with this song. Love is the means to this union.
