What are some of your favorite color themes?

Catppuccin was nice ⭐, will definitely give it a try.
      My favourite:
      1. Monkai Pro
      2. Cobalt2 (by Wes Bos)
      3. Brogrammer (when u want something different and minimalistic)

I also have a hard time spelling Catppuccin, but it's my favorite theme. I've been using it for 2-3 years now. It was recommended to me by a classmate while I was studying.

Nice, that classmate was spot on; it's the best! 🐈☕

One Dark Pro, Darker variant. Quite a conservative and "boring" color scheme, but no matter how many other color themes I've tried, I always come back to it.
One more point, which is a bit counterintuitive: if you find it comfortable to work with a low-contrast theme like Gruvbox Material, but you switch between VS Code and other applications where the colors are brighter or more contrasting, and this transition between different brightness levels tires you out, then give up the low-contrast theme in VS Code and set the contrast globally in your system or adjust your monitor for overall comfort to achieve a comfortable contrast everywhere. The fact is that when you switch between something dim and bright, your eye muscles strain significantly, causing not only psychological but also physical fatigue. In other words, try to establish a uniform contrast throughout your working environment, and the chances of your eyes seeing clearly in old age will increase.
In other words, low-contrast themes make sense if your IDE is open almost all the time in full screen and your eyes are only seeing this screen. Otherwise, it's better to set the contrast, maximum brightness, and color tone globally.

Same! Been using it for years, since the Atom days. Tried many others, but for some reason they made the same code less readable to me. I guess it has over 9 million downloads for a reason.. was honestly expecting it to be mentioned in the video and I'm kinda disappointed it wasn't.

One Dark Pro is the GOAT. It doesn’t just have perfect contrast levels, but is also aesthetic as fuck. It’s just beautiful and I’ve never been tempted to switch from it after multiple years of use.

I loved the default theme in Atom; it never occurred to me to search for it in other editors. My bad for not having this one on my radar, it's such a good base, it should be the VS Code default.

If you like Kanagawa and Catppucin you might also like Rosé Pine. It has 3 variants, with my favourite being 'Moon' - it has more colour saturation and a slightly less dark background than the base variant. There's also a 'Dawn' variant if you want light background.
I like it because it has a sort of warm, comfortable feeling. Kinda hard to explain, but Catppucin, Tokyo Night and Kanagawa feel a bit cold in comparison.

@@LearnWebCode visual studio (because c++). it has syntax highlighting. there is about couple seconds delay between me typing code, and code gets colored correctly. but im used to it (probably due to stockholm syndrome). if you spend 20 minutes in option->env->color menu, you can make your code look like rainbow. it can give pretty much every c++ token a different color. only things it's lacking is glow

for many years and before it was RedHat. I have also worked with FreeBSD and OpenBSD mostly for infrastructure tasks. I was an alien when I was

@@LearnWebCode When I started, editors weren't that popular. I started with Adobe Dreamweaver and then moved to VS Code and have used only VS Code forever. Just think that all the other editors (like atom) don't even know how they work. My story proved me right, today it is the most popular editor (I think)
