Wow im surprised with Milltek, Rich is right the quality is not the same like it used to. I fitted a Milltek to my golf 6 years ago and the quality of my old exhaust has better welds.
Last week I fitted a Scorpion resonated cat back system on my fn2. That kit had 4 clamps . The fit needed a bit of jiggling about , bit overall very good quality. Looking at this Milltek one id say the quality isn't quite as good. I used loctite high performance copper gasket maker on each joint before clamping. Only time will tell if it's up to it. Says it's resistant to 350c. If that doesn't hold I'll use one resistant to 1000c
What a shame about the system! Sounds like it’s going to be a pain with the potential blows and all of the clamps, it’s crazy! It’s a shame no one knew about the amount of joins or lack of flanges prior to ordering. Fingers crossed for the owner!
Well done lads, good to see an honest review. Ive personally never been a fan of the brand from what ive seen and heard on other peoples cars but never owned one
Try fitting one on your drive way , three times Ive had it in bits to sort out the blowing joints and every time it gets harder and harder to get it apart and back together again as the OE clamps put a deform in the joint , plus those tail pipes either knock against the chassis or tap against the tail pipe surrounds there is no happy medium. Think im just going to get it cut and welded up end to end.
Nvidia Q300 is not much better for the Fn2.. they used the clamp system and i can tell you...one hard launch and it hits all over the bottom of the car. It didnt even follow the exhaust channels centered underneath . ive had to take it to a performance shop to cut and tweak and weld the fcker back together ...and its been good thus far. this was purchased Before i discovered you guys on youtube. it does sound awesome ...but... had i known the Teg 70mm was so recommended i wouldve bought it instead and saved myself the disappointments and mucking about.
I don't rate milltek, never have. One look at the welds for me says it all. You get what you pay for at the end of the day, and I'd much rather spend the extra money on a good quality brand like Fujitsubo, expensive but worth it
Any issues with the tdi north 3 inch exhaust fitting wise anddoes it fit to the oem manifold, will go for a solid fab mani when i can afford it and do i have to get my car mapped on a cpl big bore intake ?
Hey man the TDI north 3 inch is great, solidfab is a great manifold too. You can choose any intake but CPL, Hybrid racing and Dynodaze are the best kits
Is that just a sudden thing with the amount of pieces and MIG welds? If I was spending the money I'd want it tigged . Also there's no excuse for stickers everywhere and a manufacturer should spec. easy-peel. They've lost a sale there I will go with Tegiwa!
Milltek have gone down hill last couple years people always moaning about them on the s3 page they are restrictive in the back box... Scorpion or cobra are the way to go on vag stuff atleast
Wish I never watched this now I've had my miltek system a month now and love it but after watching this just wish I never bothered buying on knowing its going to fail and not as good for mapping etc 😢
@@DynodazeHondaTuners so what would you suggest for me now 🤣 I've had it a month so can't take it Back, paid alot of money for it so cant change it totally gutted now. @@DynodazeHondaTuners well I'm hoping to come down soon I'm wanting, manifold, remapped, intake, poly bushes maybe underseal too etc just finding the time to come down from Newcastle
This is why I come to you guys for parts mapping and advice

I’ve seen some awesome militek systems, the fn2 is not one of them

Gota love the honesty
I have this exhaust on mine but bought second hand but I agree the exhaust is in too many different parts
I've got pipe craft exhaust system they are based in basildon Essex.
Bang on Rich!! complete ball ache , Fabulous honest review mate. 👍👍
Well I was going get miltek for the CTR now going for tegiwa I think.

Great work Rich, everyone should save a bit more fir the tegiwa system.
Once I've saved more penny's I'll be over 👍🏼
Top man
Shocking quality!!
What’s the best exhaust for an fn2 for power? Piper 3inch?
Yes I believe so, off the shelf anyway
Fair comments, I'd have been effing and jeffing too fitting that lot! 😂
Did you find any issues with the rear beam or was it an optical illusion? 😄
oh it was toast mate
Thats the worst when you tryin to pull stickers off stuff and it just rips FFS nightmare

Hi guys!
Could you advise, where I can to buy supercharger kit like merch or jackson for FN2?

Would loved to of heard it though 👍🏻
And that is how a brand that slips on quality goes right down the drain & fair enough too, who pays big money for rubbish?
Is there any way to have a tegiwa manifold fitted and keep your cat? I want my car to be street legal if possible.
No buddy that would need piper manifold and piper sports cat
Is the teg quieter than this?
Teg sounds beautiful on mine
So to sum it up, don't buy a Miltek exhaust! lol 😁
True story
He sounds extremely pissed off and rightfully so, for the price a Miltek costs that’s disgusting
Around the 56sec mark you will see an absolute shitshow of a mig weld to know enough about the quality of it.

got a full miltek for my evo x back in the day the bends were off and welds were shocking it got sent straght back absolute junk
Get label remover it's way better
I’d of sent that back purely because of the stickers all over it. I’d always go for Japanese brands or Tegiwas own as you mentioned. Pathetic.
It's a no from me.... 😥
Milltek is horrible. Everytime my customers buy a kit i feel bad, both for the customer and myself. Rubbish, absolute shite it is
Why don't you drop them as a supplier and advise your customers which systems are better?
