This family itself did so much for the world building of the TVD universe. For one of the first time, we step out of the high school love triangle of Elena, Stefan, Damon and we focus on characters that feel so mature, so commanding, the take the whole narrative and so much charisma, they basically command the room, and make it about themselves. Suddenly it doesn't feel like Elena is the center of the story, because there are way more important stories to be told of characters way beyond her time.

Funny how Klaus seemed genuienly terrified of Kol. Moreso than the others. I think Klaus knew Kol to be a loose canon, like himself, and knew that Kol will enact the most gruesome acts even when not wronged. At least with Elijah you knew he had some restrictions in his code of honour but with both Klaus and Kol you'd never know what was coming.
TVD & TO are so emotionally grounded you forget the supernatural aspect, but it still elevated it when used. Then we have Legacies, the Buffy remake no one wanted.

By trying to kill them she broke their trust but made them closer but ruthless.

Finn should be strongest out of the vampire siblings, as he is the oldest with the most self control. Yet, the series eventually got rid of the eldest vampires being stronger for no reason, and underdeveloped Finn.

It was established in the beginning the elder, the stronger. All of a sudden the age did not matter anymore. The same thing happened to Katherine. Multiple times she was stronger, due to age. Afterwards with no explanation she just wasn't stronger anymore.@@rafsolo
