    Once again, great video!! Thank you for the info. I have a couple of questions I hope you will have time to reply.
    1. What is your opinion about using a brand new tires on a race. I am new to the hobby, I’ve been hearing racers here in California saying that when it’s brand new, it wont perform very well. They said I need to use it for a while and it has to wear out a little bit to get to it’s perfect condition.
    2. What are your thoughts about using tire warmer? Is it really necessary?

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1. Depends on tire and level of racing. For club race we can still win with 50 run tires. I think you might be referring to your USGT tires which are hard and require usage to make it softer for more grip. 2. I rarely use tire warmer, actually never :D

      @@rccartips thank you. I use rush 36j for my touring car. I haven’t used USGT yet. All my tires are slick. I love your videos and all of them are very helpful

    Hey man, thanks for the content, I’m enjoying your channel. Do you have to glue your tyres often? I find my tires coming away from the rim… thanks

      I re-glue my tires after a day of use.

    Great video. I love your F1 videos, can you please make a video on F1 tips and F1 setup. I'm new to F1 and could do with advice from a pro like yourself. Thanks RCcartips!

      Good timing. We actually had an F1 race yesterday for the first time in years. Maybe in the future I'll make a video. What I can say is F1 is 90% tires and traction compound. Not a pro, just love the hobby :) But here is me in 2011, almost Asia champion, starting 2nd on the grid. th-cam.com/video/06GcWvBtegQ/w-d-xo.html

    can it be used on rc drag slick tire and make it tacky?

    Is it necessary to use tire warmer..?

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Depends. I tried but in the end stopped using them. Just too much hassle. Some use it to bake in the traction compound. For me since my traction compound is harmless, I apply it overnight to soak in.

    Hi, any compound suggestion for on-road Foam tires?

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We used to run paragon and suntan lotion on foam tires. Right now not to familiar with foams as we mostly run rubber.

    • @human890209yang
      @human890209yang 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rccartips Do you use both paragon and suntan lotion which mixed together? Does suntan lotion act as a diluter to limit the traction?

  • @human890209yang

    I know oil can make rubber softer, but oil has lubrication effect, too. Do you need to clean the compound on the tire surface before racing?

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wipe off excess with a rag before racing. :)

    So what are the secrets that you mention. I thought you were going to tell people what was needed to make traction compound fluid.

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wiping your tire with any type of oil (e.g. WD40, motor oil, baby oil) will increase grip. For the last 10% enhancement of grip and flow is where special chemicals and % formulations come in, a costly R&D.

    there's nothing wrong with going into business and competing with existing companies if the product you offer is better or less expensive.

    • @rccartips
      @rccartips  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Important for me it is safer with no harmful chemicals. Fortunately it is also the fastest in our area, maybe half the on-road racers have bought and tried it. Selling it at half the price of what they use lowers cost of the hobby. Winner and podiums usually run my traction compound :)

    Funny how he decides not to tell us his “secret formula”. Like he thinks he will make millions of dollars from it. Just tell us what oil it is, thats what your misleading click bait title says. You would get more respect if you helped out the community. There is a great WD40 video here th-cam.com/video/JlHoqxT7ICA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UlhdfdZqj5dThIPM

      I would not recommend WD40 as an rc tire sauce. That is something racers tried 20 years ago and sauce development have greatly moved on. 100% non-toxic sauce will work better than WD40. Results are here facebook.com/groups/goldtc
