Absolutely essential for stuff like ML serialization of trained models. You don't want to retrain models everytime from scratch - you can save/load it from file and continue where you left off.
I've been fermenting cucumbers (pickles) for years. Recently I started experimenting with kimchi, a Korean fermented vegetable medley. The idea behind pickling is, of course, preservation. Good bacteria (lactobacillus acidophilus) eats all the bacteria that is harmful to humans. But unlike python, one can't de-pickle a cucumber.
omg after years of searching just realised thqat best python book is a cookbook and omg u recommend it this wonderful python videos channel also agrees that this is a good book awesome ;D
Seeing how Guido van Rossum is Dutch I can say with 100% certainty that he loves pickles. He will call them “augurken” though, which is where I believe the word “gerkin” comes from.
⚠⚠Warning⚠⚠ The pickle module is not secure. Only unpickle data you trust. It is possible to construct malicious pickle data which will execute arbitrary code during unpickling. Never unpickle data that could have come from an untrusted source, or that could have been tampered with. Safer serialization formats such as json may be more appropriate if you are processing untrusted data.
She's back!
I’ve been writing python for over a decade and I never knew why they used the term “pickle.”
I've been writing python since 2019 and i never heared or seen about "pickle" module ever

Best thing about pickle is it preserves the data types of dataframes.

Nice module, providing you write a wrapper or subclass it to allow storing datetime values.
Decorators, @staticmethod, @property next please! :)
She is my favorite human, as a Python developer.

Just love it..😍. Can't wait. I'm secreting saliva for the pickle.
We just learned that if you say (or even think) the word salivation it's very likely that you will salivate!
