Jessie, I look forward to seeing how your plans for 2025 come to fruition. I hope you are feeling better soon and that you and your family have a very merry Christmas.
This will be my first year playing WIPGO. Thanks for doing this for us. I've got 3 boards. The first is quilts and stitch. The 2nd is project bags and upcycle sewing. The 3rd is for personal sewing (jumpsuits, blouses etc) and Dress A Girl dresses. Sounds like a lot but I retired last April and have spent these months decluttering and cleaning all my rooms and closets in anticipation of a focused year of sewing. Hope I can keep up.
I love the idea of an "organizing" WIPGO board! Brilliant! I'm going to work on one myself - makes the needed tasks so much less overwhelming... and much more likely to get accomplished! Thank you! Happy holidays to you and your family 🎄
I, too, love a good plans video. I bumped yours to the beginning of my to watch list. I think I'm going to do a focus on a finish for a few pieces. And minor wipgo to at least touch my others. But I need more unstructured stitching time as well. Thanks for sharing your plans with us!
I've done WIPGO for the last 2 years, both successful! After watching your video, I think I will add an additional board with one project and the number of stitches coinciding with the number of the call x 100. Have an excellent holiday season!
I’m a no plan stitcher. I do have one focus piece that I get 20 pages a year done though. It’s a huge Golden Kite design - Old World Map 2 - 696,960 stitches. All my other WIPs get touched regularly. I currently have 13 WIPs and am waiting for the fabric for 2 others. It’s relatively easy for all my projects to get regular attention. No set rotation. Thank you for making videos. I love to see the diversity in our community. All approaches are welcome.
I too, love making plans, organizing my stitching, watching planning videos, using my craft planner to plan ALL of my crafts! I am doing Wipgo again this year, (my third year) but only one board this year. Last year I had two, one for full coverage and one for non-full coverage. This year I joined Wip Warriors and am doing 25 in ‘25. Which works beautifully with the wipgo board. I have about 49-50 WIPs and I chose my favorites to put on my board. I will also play scattagories in Wip Warriors to pull from those 25. Five of those 25 will be new starts and if I finish any projects, I will fill the slot with another Wip. Four of those 25 are BAPS. In addition to working on those when they are called or when they fit a prompt in scattagories, I will focus on each one for 3 months by working on it for an hour a day and then change BAPs each quarter. Additionally, one of the 25 is a new start for a friend and I will work on that an hour every day until it is done. And finally, I love your plan to break a project into 12 parts, so I’m going to pick one that I’m pretty sure I can finish and break it into 12 parts to do a bit each month. I’m so anxious for the new year to start!
I always love to see your plans and ideas for the coming year. I'm going to play wipgo for the first time next year and I'm really excited about it. I made a non traditional board because I want to spend time on my only full coverage I have, soul of the rose. The past years I focused on stitchy goals and burned myself out that way. So now I have put hours on my board wich I will translate to audiobooks so that I pick my book or books at the beginning of each month and just listen to them while stitching on my soul of the rose till those books are finished. 😄
Love a good planning sesh! I too have been thinking about my plans since June or July (shocker!). I’m so excited to be back at WIGO in 2025!! I hope you feel soon, and have a wonderful Christmas with your family!
This will be my fourth year playing WIPGO and my board will be a traditional WIPGO board. But I also have side goals for organizing my WIP space and for achieving a final finish on a couple of projects where the stitching is finished. I appreciate hearing about your organizational plans! I also have an organizational system that I haven’t kept up with so I need to tackle that. I love the 5x5 storage cube you have!
I am definitely planning! I might do a video, I'm pulling back on video making while I focus on Stitchmunity - but I'm using the notes there to put together my plans for next year, and it's been so fun seeing other people's WIPGO boards and what they've been doing with them!
Happy New Year! This will be my 2nd year doing WIPGO. I do not have many WIPs, so I do categories on the board and select appropriate WIPs or start something new for that category when the number is called. Really enjoy your videos, Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your plans- I love to hear about what people plan to stitch! I don't have any particular plans except to start my first ever HAED- and I have to admit I'm slightly nervous. Have a wonderful 2025!
I started stitching in March 2024, so 2025 will be my first year of WIPGO and I'm excited! I'm a relatively monogamous stitcher so far (only started my 1st ever non-monogamous project as a Jingle Ball start) combining it with reading, so half of my squares are themes for books I might read and the other are numbers of stitches on whatever I'm working on
I just love seeing all of your projects and plans Jessie ❤...I am not new to cross stitch but I am new to WIPGO and soooo excited to participate in 2025!! My daughter, my mother and myself are all joining in on the fun this year ... we have all had such fun making up our boards (I have 2 lol) and will be anticipating the first call...we have decided to start our first called project on New Years Eve 🥳... so much thanks for your enthusiasm and hope you and your family feel better fast...Happy Holidays!!
I don't do videos but I am here for ALL of them. I will be participating in WIPGO again this year. I've done it since you announced it to the world! I have so many plans as this year I was monogamously stitching on a HAED. My 30 other WIPS miss me terribly. In addition to WIPGO, I will be participating in temperature stitching and in Full Coverage Fanatics. I have some crazy goals this year and 3-4 planned new starts (HAED SAL, TCSS Mystery SAL, plus 2 more random starts). I'm interested in HOW you are going to keep yourself organized? Are you only using the Notion app (can you show us how you use it)? Are you also using a paper planner? If so, which one? Etc... :) Thank you for an awesome year of videos!
Also love plan videos - thank you for yours! My goals next year are to focus more on my full coverage and big pieces after a year with a lot of gift stitching. My 2025 WIPGO board reflects that. I've also collected a lot of patterns this year relating to feminism, pride, peace, BLM, environmental protection and pondering how to structure starting some (lots?) of those, intending as a helpful catharsis in the coming year/s
I always love seeing what planning ideas you come up with. I’m not very structured, I’m definitely one who lives the SWYWWYW life, but I do have some unstructured ideas of what I’d like to accomplish LOL. I have a FC focus on a finish that needs around 70k. I’ve got a 2017 WIP (non FC) that needs to see a finish as well.
Great video, I enjoy planning as well, but I’m not so good at sticking to them and end up changing things around. This will be my first time ever playing WIPGO so my board will be very vague to allow for freedom to choose. It is also my year of smalls. I am drawn to larger projects including many BAPS, full coverage and large samplers so this year larger projects are getting divided into workable sections and many of my smaller series projects are being assigned monthly stitching on one piece until done then starting the next in the series. Being a multicrafter I also have to commit to progress on non cross stitch items, but again I will divide and conquer with smaller sections. Have a wonderful holiday season and happy stitching!
Today I put my plans on paper and I am looking forward to start working on my new goals! My WIPGO 2025 board is like one of yours, working x100 sts of the numbers called on a specific project, hoping to get 32.500 sts throughout the year! In 2024 I was on a no new starts policy, which I managed to keep (well, SALs were allowed and I only slipped once and started a new project) and I am planning to keep that too in 2025. I am close to reducing my WIPs to 50 (from 60 at the beginning of 2024) and I am aiming for further reducing them to 40 in 2025. I am leaving 2024 with a couple of unfinished goals but I am overall satisfied with my progress and I am learning to accept that setting goals doesn't mean that you have to achieve them all! I think I have set the stitch count for every month in 2025 too high, but I can adjust my goals at any time :)
Good plans! I don't do videos, but I am going to do WIPGO for my second year. This year I found myself getting a little burnt out by the end of the year by naming a specific project for a specific number and so I changed it up this year and my board actually sounds like a combination of all of yours! I have some squares as seasonal, full coverage, organize my craft room, even a "do some full-finishing". I also quilt and sew project bags, etc, and I found myself not doing that as much this year, so I put in a quilting square and a sewing square, etc. I feel like it will add variety to the year and not be so totally focused on cross stitch exclusively. I've also added specific stitch goals to the projects such as five days stitching or 1,000 stitches, etc. That way I can still participate on SAL's that I want to do or work on some newly acquired projects. Should be fun...
I played WIPGO for the first time this year and really enjoyed it. I definitely set my goals too high as they were a "finish" for each item. That was OK for the smaller projects but unrealistic for the larger ones. This year I will have a "progress" WIPGO board instead. And I am toying with the idea of having a second WIPGO that will be all small Christmas ornaments so that I will have 24 ornaments by the end of 2025. Thanks for sharing all of your plans with us!
I'm going to try WIPGO again. Just my 2nd year. I started off strong and then...well...yeah. I made a FrankenPlanner this year of a bunch of stitchy planners and pdfs and stuff and I'm hoping that always having it and having it all in one place will help. I'm going to do 2 Board. 1 is a WIPGO Mini Masterpiece Board. It's a carryover from last year because I still want a mini masterpiece gallery wall. And i DID get more done than I would have WITHOUT WIPGO so that's a win. The other one is SALGO and it's all my SALs that are languishing that I'm behind on or starting at the beginning of the year that I need to get working on.
(X+y) x 100 for wipgo stitches on my focus piece is also how I did my wipgo this year! I usually rounded up to the closest 1000 and ended up with 43000 stitches. It was awesome progress
Love your channel. I always find a lot of inspiration. I was 9 and a half months successful with WIPGO 2024. I am not going to do it in 2025, but perhaps 2026. 2025 I have a lot of SALS that I either want to finish or make good progress on. I've been stitching 200 a day on Pandemic by Long Dog Samplers since Nov. If I continue, I should finish it before September. HAED 2025 SAL got me...if my math is mathing, I think I need around 150 stitches per day for 6 pages. That's all that I'm aiming for. I know my limits. I'm working on Celtic Spring, aiming for finish by September. I started Ducks in the Orchard right after returning from the Barefoot Needleart October 2024 retreat. I'd like to finish it at the 2025 retreat and ring the bell. I am starting Saga by Long Dog Samplers in March for a dear friend's birthday start. Trying to finalize floss choices for that whopper. No specific goals for that right now. Any other stitching time beyond these goals will be whatever the mood strikes.
2025 will be my second year doing WIPGO. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it! I have a small fraction of the number of projects that you have, and I am quite happy with that. So not judging , just wondering, but if you have so many full coverages that you are putting on the shelf, why are you choosing to start so many new ones next year? We are sick at my house this year too , doing all the things to try to be well by Christmas! I hope you get well soon!
I love a planning video! I need a structured plan so SWYWWYW does not work for me. In 2025 my plans center around my big birthday, one that ends in 0. I will have a start on the 4th of each month until my bday in Sept. I will work 70 hours on each one (that's how old I will be - how did that happen?) Then divide the rest of the month between my other WIPs.
We love your channel and are both participating in wipgo next year. We have a plans video here th-cam.com/video/TB1USRKRpiU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EN1yV2NX4VOuvHq1 We hope you enjoy it if you get to it. 😊

That was supposed to say quilts and cross stitch. Spell check doesn't like using an x for cross. Good grief!
