True story. My wife and I were married four years and we were trying for a baby for the longest time. IUI failed multiple times. So we went to a different gynaecologist. This particular gynaecologist suggested my wife correct the position of her uterus, which was retroverted. Something apparently 1 out 5 women (at least in my country) have. She did and a month later she was pregnant with our first. 11 months after our eldest was born she was pregnant again with our second child. So, in her case it was a case of having a retroverted uterus. That also contributed to her having to live with endometriosis for many many years. Correcting the position of her uterus not only helped her conceive, it also solved her endometriosis problem as well. Am not saying it's a guarantee. Nothing is, and every medical condition is unique to each individual. But never stop exhausting all avenues. You'll get there, as we did, eventually. Have faith.

@@monikasmykla534 surgical procedure. Not very major but under general anaesthesia. Overnight for one night at the hospital and she was ok to go home the next evening.

My heart…I’m crying and praying with you. I am so sorry! I would 1000% please look into the severe cramping, it’s NOT normal. I worked for OBGYN/infertility specialist and women often think its common because we have been told that for years, but its not…please find a doctor that will look into it and listen to those concerns and not “fluff” it off! ❤ Sending some much love.

Slow start but by the time you hit the second book your hooked! Reading is how I get through my infertility journey and Sarah j. Maas does an amazing job of taking your mind off all the stress it is to experience the highs and lows.

I was diagnosed with endo 2 years ago and my periods used to be like this as well - had to take days off work, I was on super strong painkillers, would have to sit on the floor of my clinic Csuse I couldn’t move, migraines. Periods shouldn’t be like this and you shouldn’t have to experience bouts like this. Please seek out a good gynaecologist who can explore this with you. I had the surgery to confirm and it’s life changing. Thinking of you so much during this time ❤️❤️

Rachel, as someone that was diagnosed with Endometriosis when I was 19 (I’m 24 now) I can tell you that intense period pain is NOT normal ❤️. So many of us are being dismissed, by doctors telling us that that’s the way it is for women and we have to accept that but we DON’T 😭! Pleas talk to your OB about this, especially with your struggles to conceive. I know how hard this might be but even just the knowledge of having a diagnosis is so helpful and relieving. (She says, lying on the sofa with her heating pad and bad period cramps 🥲)

God will not fail us ❤

i have endometriosis as well! AND i had a “chocolate” cyst, that is apparently can cause infertility…
basically i was diagnosed with endometriosis when my OB made couple of ultrasounds. and i’ve never ever received any recommendations how to deal with pains that i have.
      until one day
i went to ER with the most horrific stomachache i’ve ever had in my life. and they did an x-ray with contrast and found a cyst 2,5 sm on my ovary.
my OB was like, it’s okay, if it doesn’t bother you too much, you can live with it and try to conceive for a year with it as well.
i went to visit my family in my homecountry, and went to OB there. and doctor told me it’s almost impossible to conceive with it and it’s also dangerous bc it can rupture. so i did a laparoscopic surgery, and doctors told me after, that cyst was a little ruptured already, bc i had a little bit of blood inside of my stomach…
i don’t have crazy painful periods anymore. it’s still painful, but at least i can stand and walk now 👍
so i totally agree with Charlotte, talk to your doctor, endometriosis is a very common problem that can cause a lot of other problems ….
ps (my doctor that performed surgery told me that i might get pregnant soon, bc the cyst was a big issue. i tried to get pregnant with it for 6 months.. and also i have only 7 months to get pregnant before the cyst grows back 👀 love being a woman hahaha)

It’s the progesterone suppositories!! They gave me extreme cramping every day! Plus basically all symptoms of pregnancy. Bloating, nausea, breast sensitivity and I went up a full cup size. Nothing more devastating that going through all these not fun symptoms and then not even being pregnant. I really hope the next cycle is better for you!

Praying for u guys and so sorry that you have to go through this… I understand the feelings and also when you film yourself and the tests are negativ I don’t feel alone … you are helping us also … we are in this TTC journey for 2,8 years now and 3 miscarriages already… we found out some stuff that I have and hoped for the best after that but I had another miscarriage at 6 weeks this time and had to go and stay in the hospital for a while … in there I met such a beautiful old lady who was so sweet and encouraged me to never ever give up…. And then I thought if my mother had done that me and my brothers would not me here… she tried and miscarried a lot for 8 years … Never give up Rachel …. ❤ we keep you in our prayers and our hearts 💕

I have awful period pain like you do (and sometimes pain at random parts of my cycle). It took 15 years for me to get diagnosed with endometriosis. Blood tests, transvaginal ultrasounds, smear tests etc showed nothing. Doctors dont ever seem to explore further than that. They want something quick to diagnose. I had to fight for a laparoscopy. Which then lead to being diagnosed finally with endo. I then had to have surgery to remove excess tissue. Not sure why your pain is so bad but want to encourage you to keep pushing the doctors and asking for help. X

My heart and prayers go out to you and any woman who is going through this difficult journey to motherhood right now. It’s okay to be strong if that feels like the response you are naturally having at the time, but it’s also okay to cry and grieve through the pain. May God continue to hold you, encourage you, and carry you as you go forward, Rachel. 🙏Also, I know that many have mentioned endometriosis in the comments, and I just wanted to add that the best route would be a specialist who specifically focuses on and understands endo, as well as other gynecological disorders, due to endo often being difficult to diagnose (it doesn’t always show up on tests and scans or general ob’s lack extensive enough training on endo). Please know that bad cramping/period pain is never normal and often points to some other issues at play. Progesterone can also cause cramping, HOWEVER, since this is something you’ve had in the past I would highly encourage you to find the answers and relief that you deserve. Sending so much love, God bless!💛💛

I am so sorry you are going through this. Every emotion you feel is valid. This fertility journey can be so hard and frustrating. My Husband and I are considering IUI as well. I’m our fertility coaching program we’ve learned about other potential reasons we aren’t getting pregnant/implanting correctly. I am being tested for other factors such as parasitic infection, bacteria overgrowth, etc. I was so surprised to learn about this since none of my other doctors had mentioned it. Maybe if you haven’t already, might be something to consider? Sending you all the love, prayers and baby dust! 💕

    Hey Rachel,
I hope you're hanging in there. I want you to know that I truly understand how tough it is to face those discouraging results. Remember, you're not alone on this journey-I've been in your shoes too.
I wanted to share something that really helped me through my own waiting period. It's a verse from Habakkuk 2:3: "Put it in writing, because it is not yet time for it to come true. But the time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed." This verse has been a source of comfort for me, and I believe it holds a beautiful message of hope.
You know what's incredible? The moment I found peace and entrusted everything to the Lord, along with my heartfelt prayers, His miraculous plan started to unfold. It might not feel like it now, but His timing is always perfect.
Keep holding on, Rachel. Just like the promise in Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Embrace these words and let them fill you with positivity and strength.
Sending you love, prayers, and a reminder that brighter days are ahead. 🌟❤

So sorry to hear this Rachel. You are so strong. I have stage 4 endometriosis diagnosed via lap. The cramping etc is very bad and definitely like you described. I have to take cocodomol, Mefanamic acid and oral morphine when on my period to try relieve the pain. Endo can cause infertility and blocked tubes. However, there is a treatment lap excision and it would unstuck the bad tissue, adhesions and clear the tubes. Might be worth you looking for an endo specialist and doing some research and there is obviously an issue and I guarantee it’s endometriosis. I would send you flowers if I could. Sending love and prayers x

As for the stools, even though they’re nicer than the ones you had before, I think the dark ones just go better with your overall decor & colors in the kitchen. The dark ones blend in seamlessly & the new ones (even though really nice) kinda stick out too much to where it can be like an eye soar.

Regarding your dining set, I would maybe change it to a different material and having a counter top height table.
We noticed each time we went our friends house, we would sit at their counter and not the table, and I really believe the height does a lot. We purchased a counter too height table and are super happy about it. It is less engaging to be sitting lower :)
The stools are cute, but I would not keep them if they are note comfortable. Maybe you can add cushion to the grey one to add some color/personality to them :)

Promethazine (just the tablets- not the syrup w codeine) is great for cramps. It’s a smooth muscle relaxer and the uterus is a smooth muscle. Regular muscle relaxers work on different types of muscles which is why they aren’t great for period cramps.
If you can get a prescription for promethazine in pill form I would highly recommend it. But only take like 1/4 of one- they’ll make you extremely tired otherwise. They don’t make you feel loopy or wobbly or anything- just sleepy if you take enough, so avoid it. They’re a miracle for cramps in my opinion.

Prayers for your fertility journey, when I got off birth control I took Organifi's Harmony supplement. It made the biggest difference in keeping me regular and having pain free periods, I recommend it to everyone I know! Stay strong! You're doing everything right!

Much love to you, Rachel! ❤ Thinking of you at this time. It's hard watching people struggle, you've shown strength through time. Romans 5:3-5 His Word is True! I'm proud of you! ❤

I am curious to know if you have been diagnosed with endometriosis? You severe pain is a dead symptom as well as “undiagnosed “ infertility. I struggled with both for years and there is help. I was able to conceive in my late 30s

I have been told painful periods is due to low progesterone and high estrogen. However, aren't you taking progesterone during the last few month for your IUI's?
