    Don't be modest about your form it's fine 👍
    Everything (technical data of limbs workings during shot ) you've mentioned about this riser I have in my Das/Dalaa riser, I would definitely invested in the Tempest riser but their lateral limbs adjustment is suck, total deal breaker for me, otherwise this is one of the finest riser in my humble opinion.

      Shouldn't be... Actually a lot easier to work with than the screw system and bomb proof

    • @blackbow8749
      @blackbow8749 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@woodsmansfinest3814 no doubt it's a bomb proof when it's on but in actuality in order to align the limbs one have to have different "shoes" (as they call them, I think) have to disconnect a limb, unscrew those tiny bolts (without loosing them) and then remember what "shoe" is on upper and lower end if one wants to change limbs.....too much hassle. I listened to Sid talk about it and he said the reason they went with this system is because they wanted a cleaner, slicker look, to me it sound strange.... looks for practicality. I wonder what a 15" riser looks like couldn't find any pictures of it .

      @@blackbow8749 never said there was a 15" mate. Gotta listen. 17 through 27. Also, I find it rather good of a solution because it is snug and really had way less vibration that any other ilf I've tried.

      @@woodsmansfinest3814 I didn't say you said it, I read on their website it says from 15" to 25" but no pictures.... was just wondering, making conversation...

      @@blackbow8749 I think they are still on that one. Can't just cut a riser done. Got to redesign it all because of every length needing different proportions.

    Hey what is the poundage of the limbs you are shooting and the arrow configuration? FOC?

    • @woodsmansfinest3814
      @woodsmansfinest3814  ปีที่แล้ว

      50lbs on these limbs with this combo. Arrows had 215 up front. Foc? In never measure it anymore. Decent Foc will be provided with those numbers and an uncoated shaft. I know it is around 16-18% from my experience and that's the sweetspot anyways. However, I tune with tip weight, trajectory and arrow flight. Cheers

      do you happen to have a tutorial on how to tie those cat whiskers in the flattened orientation on you string instead of the normal ball form?

    Thank you,I do enjoy your channel ,i am interested interested in borders side of the covert bow issue,I have not long got the top of the line covert hunter in a 42 lb draw,(plenty of power)yes expensive $3800 Nz ,actually border did well to get it made and delivered during covid,no problems as yet,only the user,he needs to learn the recurve techniques that's for sure,beautiful bow,thanks,fred hammer nz

    Thanks for the review. Really interesting details about the limb pad angles and the limb tiller height being smaller.

    Thank you for making this review on the tempest riser, I have been debating one of these but cant find much on them, on youtube anyway. Great info, very appreciated 👍🏼

      That is 100% precisely why I make these. Bow presentations on TH-cam notoriously lack actual specs and information. That's what I wanted to change!

    Thank you for the in depth review of the Tempest! I was wondering you talked about the angle of the limbs, does this effect the draw weight of the limbs? I have been eyeballing the 21" tempest for a wile now and would like to use it with my current W&W limbs (currently shooting with a 21" Hoyt excel).

    • @woodsmansfinest3814
      @woodsmansfinest3814  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not significantly as you'd run it at lower brace. More speed, some draw weight, more forgiving!

    Terrible company to deal with! I purchased two border covert hunters, one I had constant issues with, the limbs cracked throwing pieces of carbon into my hand. Sid reached out to me and I sent the limbs back to him. Sid had my limbs which mind you cost a fortune, for what felt like a year with no communication at all, several emails went unanswered, after several more Sid finally informed me that he was working on my limbs, after a few more months again with Zero communication I finally received my limbs back. So I bolted the limbs back on the riser and went out to shoot my “new” limbs and guess what happened??? Yep the limbs came apart again with carbon splinters so instead of trying to speak with them and waiting months for a email I threw them out!! There goes $3500 Australian dollars. I’ll never deal with border again they make a poorly made product and their customer service isn’t up to scratch. Sid if you read this, all due respect mate don’t bother I’m not interested your limbs are terrible mate but I’ll pass no bad feelings at all.

      Well... Some bad feelings I guess. Now we heard you part of the story. Sounds grim. Problem is... Until we haven't heard the other side and make up our minds whom we believe since I don't know either, we will keep this here so everyone gets a bad image? I respect the comment and that should probably not gone down like that, still always a weird situation to have comment stand forever under a video creating a certain image that may or may not represent the truth or present situation. Just saying. I'm unbiased... Ain't got no affiliations unless I disclose it.
