Torres and Giroud are quite similar tbh. Both might not score the most goals, but they always get the most out of the players around them.

Anyone who says Torres was a flop at Chelsea does not understand football at all. He won most of his club trophies with Chelsea and he scored in some of the most important games with us. Grande El NIno
He was a fail no matter how much you sit and fanboy about him everyday. But, everyone wanted him to do well for Chelsea. Shame he came to us after an injury and tattered confidence which never came back to him again.
Jay N We're not a fanboy about Torres. But we're seeing the bigger picture. He's not really a flop in Chelsea, he play some important goal, play and assist in Chelsea. Other than Costa, Torres is far better striker we ever had since Drogba left.

I think this is the single most understated trait from Torres that seems to be under literally everyone's radar. His sense of teamwork over self-pride is just wonderful

as was the case almost every other game. He may have had 10 good performances in his career at Chelsea, if that. One of the most over-rated players in epl, in my opinion.

I enjoy coming to youtube and seeing the Chelsea love for Torres. Yes, he wasn't at his best when he came to us, and was a bit low on confidence, but he worked hard every game and really wanted to make an impact. This was was an example of what he could do. Wish there had been more like this for us.
Torres may not have been the best scorer we have ever had, but his ability to pass, run with the ball, and return favours was incredible.
Sturridge was so selfish. You can see at 8:21, even after Meireles scored he wasn't too happy because the ball wasn't passed to him. 2:24 another example.

I dont know if selfish is the right word. I think at 2:24 was about 20% chance that the ball would find Torres. And in the end I think when you are striker and your team is winning 4:2 you just wanna score and alse be in the score sheet.

Unlike Floprata, at least Torres had some use to the team even though he couldn’t score many goals
Godot tbh Morata scored 10 goals in his first 10 or so games and looked impressive in that match vs Stoke (hat trick) but after that he picked up an injury and was never the same. Everyone knew that morata wasn’t playing to his potential and their for became frustrated with him and now he’s bringing back some of that potential and talent he has and scored against Liverpool at Anfeild. but at the end of the day it was best for both parties to move on
Pedro Neves Nah, he was so bad. It’s not even about scoring goals it’s just about keeping the ball. If u saw our matches that time, he literally got many passes from hazard or the others, and he just went down for no reason. He tried, he has a likeable personality, but he is the worst striker we had since the abramovic era.

The hold-up and team play from Torres was actually great. Would have been good for him to score more but overall this performances from 2011/2012 onward proved he was a decent player for Chelsea.
