If you ever have the time and money to visit Lapland in Finland in the winter, I couldn't recommend it more for families and small children. You'll have a chance to ride a husky- or a reindeer sled, go snowmobiling and visit the Santa Claus village in the Arctic Circle where Santa speaks many languages to make sure all the visiting children understand him and can tell him their wish list. There are gorgeous igloo-cabins where you can fall asleep under the northern lights :) There are also opportunities to go skiing and hiking up the mountains and visit a sauna too.
Been a follower for quite some time now and I'm so happy you loved visiting Iceland (where I'm from). So much fun seeing you travel in Iceland from your perspective! When you get used to the sceneries and such you forget how actually amazing Iceland is. So refreshing to watch

Does it smell?? I heard it smells because of all the sulfur.
So sometimes it does smell but it's only in certain areas where the geothermal is strong. It's not the entire country that smells like sulfur haha.
