This film was so good. The new cast did a stellar job and all the callbacks, returning characters and expanding the whole meta genre of reboots and continuations with going back to the original was very interesting and cool with how they portrayed that. Also I was not expecting Billy to show up in this so me and my best friend (both die hard scream fans) lost out shit when we saw it in theaters. We saw it on my birthday weekend actually but it was sold out the Friday night we went so much we had to wait till the 10pm showing to see it but it was worth it. Best birthday present ever!!!
i love how the film was so meta, that even talking about it feels weird, cause they were doing it in the same fashion. the returning characters, the storylines etc. thats what i like about a film. when it makes me feel some type of way.

I went nuts seeing Dead Meat's very own James A. Janisse cameo as a horror film critic in this movie! After all those video posts of him observing nearly every horror flick out there in cinematic history, he's IN ONE himself!
I so very much enjoyed just how completely Amber and Richie's final act fell apart. It really suited them honestly. A couple crazed fans trying to recreate a horror movie only to find they were woefully unprepared and incompetent by the end of it. Despite stabbing Chad several times, shooting Liz and Gale, stabbing Mindy, Sam, and Sidney, and incapacitating an already heavily injured Tara, they only managed to actually kill one of those people and got easily the most brutal deaths out of all the previous killers.
I was kind of hoping for a killer not fueled by movies this time around, but someone who similar to Danny in dead by daylight GF where he wants people to remember true horror, but using the GF icon as a means to mock the parody that he felt scary stories had become.
I don't know if this is in every country but Kids are allowed to go to See movies that are not age appropriate for them as long as they have a parent But where I live if you're over the age of 15 you're allowed to go into the theater by yourself
The scream franchise is definitely the highest quality horror franchise out there SCREAM 1996 (Goat along with nightmare on Elm st. And halloween) SCREAM 2 (A solid follow-up with a good take on horror sequels) SCREAM 3 (Not as great but still a fun watch) SCRE4M (an underrated sequel, but has a wierd lighting issue...) SCREAM 2022 ( A really quality sequal with an interesting take on requals)

Such a great movie and I’m glad that I saw another scream movie in theaters again. I never thought it would happen after the fourth but boy was I glad to hear ghostface on the big screen once again.
Really tragic how everyone claps after Dewey shoots Ghostface, then it all slowly trails off into people screaming “No!” when Dewey goes back and dies. The same thing happened in my theater. Actually being there, hearing all that clapping was such a sign of hope that my boy was gonna make it, then next thing I know he’s getting gutted from both ends and almost the entire theatre is freaking out.
It’s not that I didn’t think it was Richie, I just didn’t WANT it to be him. I like Jack Quaid a lot, and he way very friendly throughout the movie. Plus, I like his plaid shirt and beard. So when he was revealed, I was more like, “Dang it.”

This is my new favorite Scream. I loved the way people fought back in this movie. It was the most realistic one. The house is iconic & should be actually built & turned into a haunted house.

I’m so glad I not only got to witness this in theaters but it was my 2 nephews first time seeing a scream movie in theaters, everyone screamed so loud when dewy died and then when Gail got amber you could hear people yelling and cheering it was amazing just the energy in that room and at the end when it said for Wes everyone stood and clapped ❤️🙏🙌
What gave me chills was the resemblance of Billy in Amber like the stab faking and the whole thing that they made it obvious she was the killer but actually not just like Billy

When I watched this movie in the cinema it was packed of scream fans many bringing ghost face masks like myself also wearing scream shirts to. When it came to the final act of the film and amber went up in flames pretty much everyone just cheered easily two hundred people plus including myself definitely worth watching my favourite since the original.
I can't imagine any movie theater would be okay with people wearing Ghostface masks in the theater, Scream 2 explicitly showed exactly why that's a terrible idea. I mean considering the reaction I got showing up in full Ghostface costume at Halloween in high school...
This movie was really great. I was very sad to see Dewey go but at least he had a good send off. The death of the killers were particularly satisfying, especially Amber's.
I went to watch this at a theater in Alabama and I shit you not on opening night I wasn’t expecting a full house. It was my first experience seeing a movie with a full auditorium since The Polar Express premiere in ‘04.
It really hurt to see Deweys death 💔 Everyone's reaction made it hurt even more I think, and also it was sad because he was the most original alongside Gale and Sidney from the other 4 movies. I'm gonna be honest, I balled my eyes out when they killed off dewey. It will always be the most saddest death in the franchise

So.. I know never trust the love interest but I had high hopes for Ritchie. He was likeable and hilarious.. Billy actually looked like a murderer. I was very shocked when the second killer was Ritchie.
Just saw this last night in the theaters. Interesting that this video was in my recommendations. The night before I barely watched part 4 (rented it on prime video). Never caught part 4 in theaters for whatever reason. So I had to see it first before going to see 5. I actually liked Scream 5. I was very entertained. It felt more like the first Scream compared to the past sequels. 👍
I’ve said it a thousand times but no way did she take out dewey , if they don’t reveal a third killer in the 6th then I’ll be so mad it made no sense that she was able to kill dewey. Not with that level of force and brutality ghostface practically lifted him off his feet with the knife! And the height difference what did she do it in serious platforms and shove padding on her shoulders to look like a grown man?( Scream 6 stu macher revealed as the third killer & mastermind behind scream 5 , would make sense why they said ‘it’s an honour’ too because he finally killed one of the OG 3 which billy never did … just an idea, but It definitely can’t have been amber if they leave it as her being Deweys killer I’ll be so mad it’ll ruin the whole movie for me 🙄

Just saw this last night in the theaters. Interesting that this video was in my recommendations. The night before I barely watched part 4 (rented it on prime video). Never caught part 4 in theaters for whatever reason. So I had to see it first before going to see 5. I actually liked Scream 5. I was very entertained. It felt more like the first Scream compared to the past sequels. 👍
Some homage parts of Scream 5 came off as a bit of a rip off to the first one to me 😑

I really wanted to see this in theaters on its release but I didn’t. Only watched it on Paramount+ and it was worth it, loved it!

I’ve said it a thousand times but no way did she take out dewey , if they don’t reveal a third killer in the 6th then I’ll be so mad it made no sense that she was able to kill dewey. Not with that level of force and brutality ghostface practically lifted him off his feet with the knife! And the height difference what did she do it in serious platforms and shove padding on her shoulders to look like a grown man?( Scream 6 stu macher revealed as the third killer & mastermind behind scream 5 , would make sense why they said ‘it’s an honour’ too because he finally killed one of the OG 3 which billy never did … just an idea, but It definitely can’t have been amber if they leave it as her being Deweys killer I’ll be so mad it’ll ruin the whole movie for me 🙄

My mom let me watch Scream 1 and 2 when I was about 4 or 5 and I turn out just fine. She later regret it though.
