That penthouse is beautiful. Spacious rooms, full kitchen & nice large bathroom, bright, big windows, large balcony. I love that tree lined neighborhood filled with single family homes. It's crazy how much easier it is to show a space when it's staged and furnished. Seeing how you can put your things makes SUCH a huge difference! I love this building and would definitely consider renting here.
Cash pulls out the sink sprayer like a boss! The Penthouse is most definitely my favorite of the two. The size is great and compact without being a Manhattan closet. Them views from the 7th floor are money. Love the balcony, and the views from that 2nd bedroom are amazing. Also, a nice little kitchen in that second apartment. Being in that lower level unit seems a little too suburban to me with the view of them houses at eye level from your unit. That is a great building with them amenities included.
Agree with you on so many things. But as much as I love these I still LOVE my 1 bed 1 bath with a walk out patio and NO APT ABOVE me AND a garage for under $900! Which is even good for around here. I can even have a tie up for my dog and sit with her outside and enjoy some nice weather. When we actually have it. LOL
You in my hood Cash!!!...I grew up in that area in Vanderveer Estates (now Flatbush Gardens)...Our restaurants, discount stores, clothing stores and MTA access is the bomb....and the people are always hospitable...❤️ my Caribbean and African people....
This is all the space that I'd need for an apartment (either one of them) and the fact that you still have all the amenities and are close to both mom and pop stores and larger chains, makes this perfect. And the neighborhood is quiet. The moment that was shown, I remembered how there are many from countries where living above or very close to retail spaces is normal, but I have to say, it made me a bit happier that we don't have as much of that in the U.S. since it does allow for quiet neighborhoods. I think we've taken that a bit to the extreme in the sense of still needing a car for everything unless you live in a major city with good transit, but I still think residential-only neighborhoods have some huge merits.
I grew up in NYC/Brooklyn decades ago - there were few restaurants and retail stores at the base of apartment buildings. Can't imagine all those people shopping - and the smells and trash coming from all those businesses. I took several classes at Brooklyn College - this is the same area - and it looks completely different.
I'm packing up and moving in. Floor to ceiling windows. Nice! It's light bright and white. A plus. Nice neighborhood. Balcony. Fantastic! Modern. Both of them are great! Now all I need is a job and a roommate. Beautiful!
The apartments are absolutely gorgeous. I reckon you will also make a awesome tour guide because you know your stuff and is brutally honest where to eat or not to eat where to stay or not to stay where can we commute so forth.
That wasn’t a “Sandwich takeout window” that’s a window for late night orders so the store won’t get robbed by gun point. Cause that area is rough. I love your videos, but you never mention the crime in the area, that’s also really important.
There is stores here in Baltimore MD that close the front door at a time at night and have a service windows so that don't get robbery. But things do happen in the day time. God bless u always 🙏 Baltimore MD
Cash's videos bring me joy and longing. How I wish that I could live in the heart of a big city and take in all of the ambiance. It just looks so cool and exciting.
Aw man! I miss NYC so much whenever I watch your videos. Just makes me want to move back to the city :) thank you for doing such a great job introducing good aparments for rent in the city
This is the one apartment where I was TAKE MY MONEY!!! I love the neighborhood, you could walk to everything. The views, I need my natural light. That the price is that affordable? I used to visit Brooklyn every summer to go with my friend to her cousin's home. It was fabulous just walking everywhere, even young teen ladies in those days, and this brought it all back. I have a lovely home and a cabin on a lake, but if I were rich enough, I'd add in the rent each month to have this for my city place! THANK YOU!
I never in my life have plans to move to the NYC but I’m addicted to watching these videos 🤷🏽♀️. Keep up the good work. You do a good job giving the full NYC experience❤️ And your funny too 😆
It is the best building in New York. I love the apartments and would be very happy living there. Great neighbourhood and such a quiet street. Well done Cash.
Hello and welcome to Levi. Both units were really nice. I'd definitely would choose the $2600/month 2 bedroom "penthouse" over that $3K/month 2 bedroom unit. It's the private balcony that was the deciding factor for me. But, that $3K/month is a fantastic opportunity for 2 young professionals starting out! It's affordable and you could therefore save some money for your next move. The amenities for the building are very good although, hmm... 50Lb dumb bells... cute... Anyway, kudos to the Landlord/Builder for a well-thought out living environment.
But I think the $2600 was net so I wonder what concessions were given & the full price of the penthouse. I do like it more than the other, especially since the kitchen is actually in a room as opposed to being out in the common living area
Having your own bathroom is amazing. You don't have to clean up after anyone. You only have your own unsanitary ''crap'' to clean when you have your own bathroom! You won't really gain any muscle mass from that gym. 50lb dumbbells? That's beginner weight lmfao but if it's free, I'd use it!
Gym, elevator, under 2000$ per person rent, super clean. This place is amazing I would definitely live here. Also it’s in a quiet neighborhood near a mall which is rare in NYC so you can definitely live without a car
Really nice building and apartments! Finally something to get excited about when it comes to rare NYC reasonably priced rentals. Kudos to the landlord for not gouging tenants.
There has to be a hitch. The building is fully renovated with elevator, gym, in-unit laundry, rooftop deck and potentially available covered parking. The kitchens, living spaces, bedrooms and closets are all decent sizes. The penthouse may lack a second bathroom but it has a balcony. Even if you add on another $200/month for heat and hot water, the rents are reasonable even for Brooklyn. Maybe it's far from the subway? There's a meth lab in the cellar to subsidize the cost? Before its renovation the building was infected with anthrax? Given the exploding NYC rental market, there has to be a hitch.
I've been to that area and it is both hardscrabble and not a great commute to and from Manhattan. You'd have to travel close to Manhattan to transfer trains to another part if Brooklyn.
I love watching Cash's videos. Just wondering how many of us can actually afford to live in NYC? I know I couldn't, sheesh, $3000 rent is insane, not including electricity, food, and transportation.
I agree with you. I rent a nice 2 bedroom 1 bath house. Family room with a storage area and my own washer and dryer. Big fenced in back yard. Under $900 in a great neighborhood. There is no way $3000 a month. Allowed 3 pets and close to everything but the bus line which I haven't used in 45 years. Here's to MO.❤
I'm in the Caribbean, and we can do way better on island. Next to pristine water with real fresh air, not that stuff coming in through city windows. That stuff you swim in there looks toxic. Live there if you want, but let's be real about quality of life. Eating out 6 nights a week is a recipe for an unpleasant death. These videos are fun to watch, but how many times does he say the ebikes aren't safe?
Excellent location. Not only great shopping, but Brooklyn College and Medgar Evers College are nearby for the culture vultures. Very nice building and apartments. The amenities in the building are great money savers. Indoor laundry is always a *big* help. Love the kitchen. Plenty of sitting room. All around nice apartments. Closets are quite big. Great views. One of the more practical and realistic apartment buildings we've seen in a while...The view from the penthouse is nice but having that extra bathroom in the other unit is hard to beat...You don't how much you need an extra bathroom until you need it and don't have it.
That depends on how many people will be living there. You should generally have at least one bathroom for every two or three people living there.
