Hi @Son of NOK, I'm from India. I just started reading Things Fall Apart. Just at the first para, i realised my visualisation about Igbo culture would be improper because i knew nothing. So now, along with reading the novel, i have started to learn in somewhat detail about the Igbo culture. I saw the dress, the village and now the wrestling match. And this was exactly like Okonkwo vs Amalinze, as per Chinua Achebe's description. "Slippery as a fish in water." 😄 Are you Igbo?
Igbos are lovely people known for rich Customs and Traditions not Hate and Violence .... Kudos!
Thank you for watching
Keep up the wrestling traditions, not just during New Yam Festival
Yes, it's a good way to preserve our culture. Thanks for watching
