I found out what me and Trey had in common lol it’s the modesty!!! But that’s where it ends, the talent this guy has is unmatched in any genre. Although he’s a huge inspiration, he’s so good, it makes me know beyond a doubt that it’s outta reach. Lol I hope you keep picking and singing. This world needs this music

I got to figure out how to learn by ear better, because if that is how you learned to play that is also how I need to 😅

Having a weak little finger myself, can you explain how you play so well and fluidly keeping the little finger to a minimum?

Tx Trey - I love the sound of a nice acoustic guitar with open chords. Something about the acoustic - it was made for open chords in my humble opinion. Of course if I could play like you it would be a different story ; you sound good playing anything! Thanks for the info and your time you give to music.

Another great one! That Angeline at the beginning was cooking. Angeline the Effigist.
You have a diverse taste in music, so I’d be interested to hear your thoughts on incorporating lots of different sounds into your playing/writing.

Great info as always! Could you talk about crosspicking in your next video? Im curious what goes into your technique and how you practice mixing crosspicking into your breaks without sounding clunky (something I am currently struggling with).

What is the guitar model? The upper pick guard must be a custom?

I think Trey is a classic example of not needing to "learn" music, learning scales, modes, time signatures, theory and harmony, sight reading are a bunch of rules that put a player into a box that quite often makes the music sound robotic, instead of listening to the sounds produced.

You have learned a lot about singing through singing along with great vocalists. Please, in all seriousness, do use warm ups and try some breathing exercises… whatever keeps you healthy and making music as long as you want to. God bless and keep you on the road. 🙏🏻💜
