I feel like there's a very real end-game when it comes to super big fighters that if the fight goes on long enough it can end in a stalemate because both will be too tired to finish each other off. Even in a no holds barred scenario.

At 350 Lbs. to go that long is insane. Each of those punches are a sleeper for most regular dudes. Their arms are like most people's legs. That was a great fight. Great sportsmanship on both sides. 10/10

You have to take in account that super heavy weight means that any of those shots would take a an average fighter out. Shots disturb the breathing and body shots cost stamina, which happened early in the fight.

Bob Sapp has some skills, but he's mostly there for his muscles on show, and Osunaarashi was very promising at sumo before he got thrown out for indiscipline - gotta find a way to make money nowadays.

If I remember correctly this match was historical for few reasons. #1 Sapp was due to be signed by the Ufc but due to performance issues his contract was rejected before he landed back in the states. #2. This fight launched the nutritional program or portion of the Ufc. In other words fighters had to maintain a level of physical and cardio nutrition. A video that has been pulled probably by request of Bob Sapp shows Sapp and another fighter, I believe from Japan were a double TkO due to neither fighter being able to continue after 1 round ( they collapsed from exhaustion on top of each other). However it was later determined that Sapp was suffering from a heart condition that prevented oxygen to circulate through the blood in his heart.
Sapp was never coming to the ufc
There was a ufc fighter with that condition, he used some drug to help with the oxygen carriage or absorbtion.. got in trouble, ame starts with a “T” but I can’t remember

But Sapp is still adored in Japan, he is still one of the most popular "fighter" in Japan. But even a guy like him can knockout 99% of people on Earth. There is just no substitute for that level of size and strength. He is in his 50's now (I think), and still bench presses 500 pounds. He still weighs over 300 pounds and comes from a K-1 background.

He can't leave behind his trademark 350 lbs size. It's what gave him money (contract) to begin with. If he has to actually learn how to fight, he'll have to lose weight and compete against real fighters which he has ZERO chance of winning. So he continues being that way

Fat guy had power but wasted it all while Sapp ran away and played turtle. He also forgot it wasn’t a sumo match and that he had to keep fighting once it went to the ground.
