One of the best informative tool videos I have ever seen. You actually go into depth on important matters that we all would most likely ask about the unit. Solid well done video.
I have been looking for help with procedures for recovering and recharging critically charged units. Sequence of hooking up correctly, types of valves and adapters needed, purging the hoses, weighing in and out. Things that many of you pros do automatically but pointers for newbies who may be completely porking the pooch. Thanks for the time and effort that so many of you put in to making these videos. ¡Muchas gracias!
Great video thank you. I have a lot of fieldpiece tools. I don't care for the nylon gears and the led display. I think for longevity it won't hold up like the analogue recovery machines. I could be wrong and the display will hold up.Thank you for the videos.
it looks like a radio sorta. light weight and speed is the most important factors for me doin rooftops, i may have to try one out. r410a in the dead of summer with an already partially full tank. anow thats a serious test
i would like to see how it does on a walk in box system with 8+ lbs gas in it. I stopped buying fieldpiece years ago...every meter or thermometer only lasted 6-9 months then i had to get warranty replacements...switched to fluke and never had a problem since. Who knows....maybe this recovery unit might be something decent that lasts. What does it cost ? Nevermind....just googled it...list price of $959....on sale at trutech tools for $767 but pre order only...not avail till april
kingofthecrease30 years ago I switched to the UEI meters. The DL429 Bluetooth meter rocks. This recovery machine seems good I'll do some more videos of it.
for Faster Recovery i allways hook the Recovery machine outlet to the Vapor Fitting on the tank. that way it drops the liquid on top of the liquid not having to push through the liquid dip tube and liquid into the tank. Less stress on the recovery machine too. i think u had it hooked to red which i believe is the liquid out fitting. use Blue fitting better.
Do you need any batteries for it ? Fieldpiece are killing it in the refrig world ... I have the SRL2 leak detector, ST4 dual temp thermometer and the SRS2 wireless scales and they are all work sweet 😎👍
I Enjoy your videos very informative 2 questions 1 what dictates when you recover into recovery tank liquid or vapor and when you use vapor do you turn recovery tank upside down have you ever done a video on that and 2 what the hell are the words in the song in the intro
Nice score on a freebie Dave. You mentioned it was water proof. Worries me a bit about the digital screen. Does it gromets on the bottom of it to keep it off a wet surface?
polishtheturd mickelson rain proof not water proof. The display only. Never operate an electric tool in the rain. It dose have 4 rubber mounts on the bottom.
Scram leaf blower guy, I'm trying to do a review here :) I see what's going on, I do refer vids and u start doing review vids lol! Very very nice Dave. I do like the screen too.
Hi Dave, I have to replace my vacuum pump, and I need your advice. I am repairing medium temperature coolers, graband go units. I'l appreciate your comments Thanks
Bro! The amount of refrigerant that you vent at the end of the video! Absolutely not acceptable in Europe. I am going to pay a fee of 10 000 euro on my first warning. :D
Have the Appion and MR45. Hands down, Appion is a tougher, faster, more reliable machine. Before I could use the Fieldpiece, the lcd took a hit and would not run. SMAN is the best digital, but mr45 is not even in the race.
Won't waste my time with it being micro channel. Hell no. Being a oil less compressor will fail and won't take the abuse or daily use. Oil less compressors require a lot more maintenance if you want them to last any decent amount

Donaciano Sandoval thanks for watching

Best part of a new year is a new tool budget, so looks like this will make the list.
Chris HVAC you will like it.
Need to get a 90 or 45 degree coupling for that drier. Looks like it may get snapped off! Wonder what those plastic gears do inside?
Joe Shearer no idea. I like the 90 idea. I'll do that.
The plastic gears have to operate both valves (inlet and outlet) from the single control knob on the outside of the unit.
VERY thorough look, if i were looking for a new recover unit i'd have a hard time not taking a really close look at this one. Thumbs Up
+Stephen Rardon thanks.

Great review! I will be breaking the bank on a recovery new machine soon so it is nice to see what's out there.👍😎
Love that auto shut off feature that is awesome
Jordan Maz it's really nice.

awsom70 it is. Like all units the same practices will need to be followed.

amazing cant wait for mine !

OcRefrigeration,Hvac & Electrical. Red on that tank is vapor. It's seemed backwards to me also. But on that tank it's the vapor port.
ok
@@NorCal-refrigeration what?!?!
Good review, well done! Looking forward to a follow up.
The onñy thing I must add is to put the hose in the vapor port on the tank. If you look the diagram it also tells you that
I did purchased mine this week and it blown my mind how extremely fast and easy to set it up was the recovery
Do you need any batteries for it ? Fieldpiece are killing it in the refrig world ... I have the SRL2 leak detector, ST4 dual temp thermometer and the SRS2 wireless scales and they are all work sweet 😎👍
Locklyn 9 no batteries it has to be plugged in.
The MR45 also sounds times quiter than any other machine on the market right now

Mark Payne we love the lurkers. I recover into liquid port.
Haha I thought it was “we love the burgers” 🍔🍔🍔
how can you get to test the tools?? I'm interested
Alexander Figueroa all I did was ask. Fieldpiece was very nice. 👍

Ok thanks Nor Cal. Good to hear about the protection about elements from the bottom side. We all need that. Lol.
Dave....nice video! looks like a nice machine!!

gabriel brown get one. There nice.
No 230 Vac version for Europe?
Scram leaf blower guy, I'm trying to do a review here :) I see what's going on, I do refer vids and u start doing review vids lol! Very very nice Dave. I do like the screen too.
Jon HVAC that's right next we co-hoast a pod cast. Jon Dave and cee cee stories of HVAC!
Grab the popcorn kids you'll be in for a treat😁
i have the Fluke 374 FC meter...its bluetooth...i got the fluke app...its pretty cool
Hi Dave, I have to replace my vacuum pump, and I need your advice. I am repairing medium temperature coolers, graband go units.
I'l appreciate your comments
Thanks
Fieldpiece has new pumps out. As dose Navac both good.
Fieldpiece should have the Ms.45 that would be a nice couple.
Looked Good man, nice review
Working Joes Roundtable thanks Zack.
Really impressed with MR45, think i'd have the inlet drier on a short hose as i'd soon break that off if it was in my truck hahaha
heavydiesel yeah, me too.
heavydiesel it's on a 45 now. Check out test 2 video. 👌
Can you tell me a name filter for this machine recovery?
I would get one of those, but it has a microchannel ...😊 jk.. very nice Dave....
Felipe Tafolla that's funny. Now go get one you'll love it.
Nor-Cal Refrigeration & H.V.A.C thanks Dave I wanns pick up a set of Testo smart probes first then ,this puppy will be next....
Felipe Tafolla hold off on the smart probes, there might be more coming to the market. With more range.
Nor-Cal Refrigeration & H.V.A.C thanks for the info ..ill wait till right before summer
FieldpieceProducts oh man this sounds great. Can't wait.
how often should you change the filter drier?
ziad saddick the same as your vacuum pump oil & especially after a burnout.
Like the mister 45.
Cool stuff.
Found it on Amazon...comes with dryer, hose and recovery tank...$900.00...I want one
Bro! The amount of refrigerant that you vent at the end of the video! Absolutely not acceptable in Europe. I am going to pay a fee of 10 000 euro on my first warning. :D
Real nice!
👍👍👍 Dave
Harry Dickson 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘

Melvin292 I like it and have had zero issues so far.
Dave doesn't get call backs because he has a burner
Get one . You should buy us all one ;) LOL
Jamie HVAC I only make 12$ an hour. Lol
It looks nice but I prefer Appion G5 twin
Alex Montoya I like this one better.
Nor-Cal Refrigeration & H.V.A.C is it better than Appion G5 I haven’t owned anything else.?
sweeet tool's of the trade!!!!
Just got one
Im afraid one hit to that display and ... its gone.
Joo Pere we will have to see. Like a crescent wrench falling on it?
It’ll be okay. I’ve been throwing mine off the roof for 2 years...
Send it to me so I can stop using my nose
Justin Hernandez no I need you good and hi. Lol
micro channel leak lol.
Won't waste my time with it being micro channel. Hell no. Being a oil less compressor will fail and won't take the abuse or daily use. Oil less compressors require a lot more maintenance if you want them to last any decent amount
GET ONE, LOL
+Stephen Rardon hurry up and get one. Lol
台灣都買不到==美國的東西都做給自己用的喔
i'd put a little shorty hose on the Recovery machine to that Filter drier it's gonna Get snapped off in the truck.
