WOW..Noooo!! I feel your pain brother..200MPH explosion.. I know the feeling.. Makes me wanna throw up.. SORRY to see it.. You are a monster driver, you'll bring it back to the runway in no time!
You might have to.go with a solid brass wheel with a vulcanized rubber application. Similar to a forklift tire. Then put put them on a lathe to give them a low profile and true them at the same time. What a cool car.
Even the best have bad days James. Most important thing is that no one was hurt. 50 yards sooner and you might have been jumping off a ladder to get out of the way. As we already know, it lived on to see another day.
My goodness it was at 199mph before she flipped, but that sound was incredible to hear and i have a feeling she was ready to zip past 222mph. Very impressed by the quality of the build, can't believe it was mostly in one piece just incredible.
Thanks for you taking the time and sharing this video. I know it wasn't your best day, but good things happen to good people. You sharing this video only helps the community to learn and only get better. Hats off to you man.
WOW! Just goes to show even the best have crazy mishaps! Glad most of it stayed together for you! I have no doubt you'll have it back on the runway in no time! Thanks for showing the highs and the lows of speed running!
That crash was a testament to how well made everything was. Really speaks volumes on the quality of everything. To wreck at 200 and still be together like that is amazing.
Greetings from the Dominican Republic, it is always a pleasure to stop by here to leave a positive comment, I know you are going to achieve it, you are very dedicated to detail and when you set your mind to something you achieve it, what happened was just a small experience from which you will get better results and losses were small let's go for more James Maccoy😊
When something like that happens absolutely heartbreaking. Can’t imagine the hours you put into building that car., I feel your pain rebuild go again good luck 😮😊
Got in nice and quick . Like first to see the boss of speedruns JMc. A huge testament to your build skills as far as the guts of the car was mostly intact.
Damn Scorched chassis are almost bullet proof. I only manage to crack 2 on super bad wrecks. Great build quality! The esc’s can be fixed but you might want to use them in basher. Thanks for sharing ❤
Sucks to see this happen James, but Im happy to see that it was mainly intact. Shows that you did a great job making sure everything was secure inside, cause that slow motion close up looked like it would have been a total loss.
Damn! That felt violent, held up pretty solid for all that. Hope you guys get to salvage some.. good luck and thanks for all of the amazing content and effort
I have a twin 1700kv carbon build I’m in the middle of right now. All of the scorched rc and perfect pass parts you can throw at one. My biggest problem with my other speed rigs would be blowing tires off constantly. Foams, grps, I’ve tried them all. If someone came out with a tire that would work for us they’d make a killing. I’d spend $400-$500 a set as long as I could get a few runs in before they let loose so I can put some real numbers up! Hate to see this happened to you but I’m excited to see the rebuild!
Tough break man. The Lipos still need to be checked on an ESR… I had this happen a few times and a few cells will start showing a significant increase in IR. Just something to go through as you scrap the build for salvageable parts as you rebuild. Anyways, thanks for sharing the bad days too.
Oh wow! The RC gods were good to you then! That’s great news:) Glad you didn’t need to scrap anything, and looking forward to seeing your next attempts!
Oh Dam bruh “It’s Always Something” 200mph had the car flip up like a sheet of paper in a Tornado. I will be waiting for the damage report and plans for rebuilding. Tire and wheel companies have to rethink the engineering with a much harder compound that is locked and glued together as one unit.
Tires are definitely the limiting factor in these cars. Someone will come up with a material that can grip and still stay together. Then 300mph will be the goal.
My days, what a shame to see such a great build blow out like that. James is probably the best RC car builder on YT but this just goes to show that tyres are the limiting factor. Someone needs to make a tyre that will hold up or anywhere near 250 isn't going to happen. Nice try James, good luck next time.
If you don't need to do u-turns then you can limit the steering travel. If you limit the steering travel you can have a narrower body and cleaner undertray.
At 2:27 you can see some thing is flying up. I think it is the a blew tire. And that is the reason for the crash. Check how the old world record holder Nic Case has made his rims from carbon. I think your weakpoint is your rims
I don't understand why they haven't yet manufactured tires with Titanium carbon fiber or aluminum rims for High Torque RC in speedrun, why for projects like this GRP or Foam are no longer a safe option and we have to look for or manufacture better options for be able to obtain better results😮
Seeing you speed guys blowing tyres and destroying your cars, would it not be an idea to make a tire that does not blow up? Before any more of this carnage
I think your response was rather restrained to be honest. I guess it's part of the deal when doing these speeds. If anything goes wrong the result is kind of binary.
Haha! Thats unfortunate, but its just like the real think. The Bugatti has tires made specifically for reaching 300mph. If you watch lamd speed records, somtomes the engineers talk about the incredible forces the wheels and tires have to go through. I think the fastest ones don't even have tires. (Back to the drawing board)

Makes me wanna throw up..
SORRY to see it..
You are a monster driver, you'll bring it back to the runway in no time!
This was mid season, already been repaired and made more passes
That driveshaft rolling towards you was surreal.
It sure was!🫣
This comment made me stay and watch the video tbh
Oooo man that sucks. Could be worse though
Could have been mine 😂😂
lol u break enough crap kevin
Wasn't bad at all really,
This was mid season, car was repaired and has made many passes since,
Just got around to posting it though
@@jamesmccoy204 DUDE... That was Insane!!!
Very Impressive Build to take such a Brutal wreck Brother!
THANKS FOR SHARING!!!
💯💯💯👊🤜🤛🏆🏆🏆🏁🏁🏁👍👍
Man - once someone figures out the wheels for these heavier builds there will be some big numbers to come!
@@pjpankratz8829 I AGREE!!! This is definitely the most serious QUAD MOTOR build I've seen!!! "Go TEAM MCCOY!!!"
🏁🏁🏁

What a cool car.
Totally sucks, but it happens… Thanks for posting instead of not. Shows what can happen! The best part was the speed! 👍🏻
That was like watching an LMP car catch air under the front and go sailing. Good thing yours didn’t have a person in it.
Bravo on keeping the batteries on board. If they remain in the car, they live much longer. Thanks for sharing!
Even the best have bad days James. Most important thing is that no one was hurt. 50 yards sooner and you might have been jumping off a ladder to get out of the way. As we already know, it lived on to see another day.
Sad to see this happen, thanks for sharing the downside of speed running
My goodness it was at 199mph before she flipped, but that sound was incredible to hear and i have a feeling she was ready to zip past 222mph.
Very impressed by the quality of the build, can't believe it was mostly in one piece just incredible.

You’re gonna have to get a sweeper truck out there to pick up all that debris
Too bad,James. It seems to be a common problem with tires exceeding 200mph.... even though it crashed, it's still impressive 😊
Thanks for showing this James and sorry it happened too.
King James 👑 - Immortal
That crash was a testament to how well made everything was. Really speaks volumes on the quality of everything. To wreck at 200 and still be together like that is amazing.
Time for composite wheel/rubber ties.... I should send you some to test...

Sorry to see that. I know you will hand in there. Keep up the extraordinary work!
Dame that was something else. Still can't believe it blew all four rims off. Awesome stuff 💪🏼👌🏼
When something like that happens absolutely heartbreaking. Can’t imagine the hours you put into building that car., I feel your pain rebuild go again good luck 😮😊
Sorry to see that James! Glad the chassis survived. She’ll live to run again!
This was back mid season, it was repaired and has made a good many passes since lol
Just finely got around to posting the video
Considering what happened, what's truly amazing is the apparent condition of what remains.
Holy Moly‼️ I hope you can get her back up and running soon
- Thanks for sharing it all with us 🩷
I was really rooting for that car since the first video of hitting 215 at 75% throttle.
I am sorry for your loss. I have also lost 2 cars at 220mph. Keep going, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you 🙏
This was mid season last year, Car was repaired and made some good passes after this happened,
@@jamesmccoy204 Better times are coming, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you
Wow James ! So glad this was mid season and it’s back on the road ! 🙏. On the other hand, Love the new channel Logo 😁👍.
Thank you,
DAMN brother!! That really sucks, however at least nothing caught on fire and melted everything!!!!
That was crazy!! Definitely expected more damage for sure! A testament to the parts used and your build skills!
Damn that was crazy.
How about a steel wheel with an extremely aggressive knurled finish then put through a heat treatment process to harden it.
Got in nice and quick . Like first to see the boss of speedruns JMc. A huge testament to your build skills as far as the guts of the car was mostly intact.

That was brutal to watch 🫣
Hardcore blowout! It’s spectacular footage at the very least and it sounded mental!
Holy macarel...thats brutal.
Holy crap that was crazy..still pretty impressive
Crazy fast James I still haven't rebuilt mine
God damn crazy shit 😳 james we still rock with u 🔥💪
Sucks to see this happen James, but Im happy to see that it was mainly intact. Shows that you did a great job making sure everything was secure inside, cause that slow motion close up looked like it would have been a total loss.
Holy crap brother! That hurt to watch
WOW! that was an insane crash at 200MPH. I can't believe it blew the rims right off the car.
it had so much more crazy how the body disintegrated crazy the repair looks minimal
Blows my mind in 2024 with all the tech no one can build tires that don’t blow. We can fly go to space but can’t build toy tires
Its all about the money, no profit in building tires for RC speed run tires
Damn! That felt violent, held up pretty solid for all that. Hope you guys get to salvage some.. good luck and thanks for all of the amazing content and effort
Was a quick repair, car has made many passes since this happened
W.O.W 🤯🤯🤯 scary runs...
Painful to watch. Kudos to the chassis holding the expensive parts safely 👍
Damn James, sad to see this 😢. Some real battle-wounds. But you will be up soon again ❤❤
Im shocked the chassis was in as good a shape as it was. That was about like watching a rocket blow up in testing!
Ouch that's a bummer not the first won't be the last unfortunately but the real McCoy is t
Still on top
Dammm 😢 .. let the ReBuilding Begin
Damn that ruff.
Like NASCAR, we watch for the crashes! 😉 Tough luck, sucks but you know its going to happen. Back at 'er! 👍

This car was fixed in a few day and has made some great passes since, wasn't much damage
What tires/wheels do you use? Even full size car tires can't survive 200mph
Tough break man. The Lipos still need to be checked on an ESR… I had this happen a few times and a few cells will start showing a significant increase in IR. Just something to go through as you scrap the build for salvageable parts as you rebuild. Anyways, thanks for sharing the bad days too.
Definitely didn't scrap this build , this was mid season and it was repaired and making passes in a few days .
Batteries were not damaged
Oh wow! The RC gods were good to you then! That’s great news:) Glad you didn’t need to scrap anything, and looking forward to seeing your next attempts!
Wow that was crazy, i'm surprised it has all the batteries in it still the way it flow through the air
Yep I missed that one they don't always stay on the ground not the worst but they always suck can't wait to go back
Back to the drawing board.
Crazy! That looked terrible, but at least the chassis was intact. What a shame
Already been repaired and made more passes
So sorry James 😮
Sorry Jimmy. I know the feeling. I'm sure you'll get it back on the road
Not much damage for a 200mph crash 😊😊 sounded insane
Oh Dam bruh “It’s Always Something” 200mph had the car flip up like a sheet of paper in a Tornado. I will be waiting for the damage report and plans for rebuilding. Tire and wheel companies have to rethink the engineering with a much harder compound that is locked and glued together as one unit.
Insane, hate to see,but when your pushing the envelope it's inevitable. Thanks for sharing some the bad an not just all the good..
All part of the game
now you can try the new perfect pass suspension arms by Raz :P
This car was repaired and running again way before Raz came out with his arms.
But I do have a car im building with them now
awesome!! looking forward to it! @@jamesmccoy204
Tires are definitely the limiting factor in these cars. Someone will come up with a material that can grip and still stay together. Then 300mph will be the goal.

Ouch brother!!!! Hopefully not all bad..
DAAAAMN 😳 Sorry to see that.
Need two way radios out there
I wonder if it caught air or hit an object. 🤔
Wheels exploding
If you don't need to do u-turns then you can limit the steering travel. If you limit the steering travel you can have a narrower body and cleaner undertray.
It doesn't get in narrower than this with covered wheels , barely any steering to end points now .
Location looks familiar
Now you see it not you don't great magic trick lol but honestly that sucks bud hope you get it back up and running soon
At 2:27 you can see some thing is flying up. I think it is the a blew tire. And that is the reason for the crash. Check how the old world record holder Nic Case has made his rims from carbon. I think your weakpoint is your rims
Car broke traction and the wheel rpm shot up and blew all 4 wheels
Nice speed but sorry about the car back to the RC lab
Has anyone tried aluminum wheels with rubber tread? Seems like you and Raz have gone past the capabilities of plastic and foam.
Oh no my brother sorry to see that
Damn I was hoping it wasn't the 250 car.
Darn, that was a bad one, i keep thinking the top speed run cars need wheels made from Billet Alloy with foams bonded on
Oh shit ..that’s bad luck .
Dam that a bag of cash sorry brother
Battery’s was in upside down that usually happens
Lol
Houston we have a problem , columbia has exploded 😬 it's game over , everything gone .
Hopefully this doesn't cost you too much. But to be honest I expected more damage at that speed.
I don't understand why they haven't yet manufactured tires with Titanium carbon fiber or aluminum rims for High Torque RC in speedrun, why for projects like this GRP or Foam are no longer a safe option and we have to look for or manufacture better options for be able to obtain better results😮
That's the first time I felt for anyone on TH-cam. 😞
Seeing you speed guys blowing tyres and destroying your cars, would it not be an idea to make a tire that does not blow up? Before any more of this carnage
