I was there last December. For me it’s the most beautiful city in Southeast Asia
Anna La Viajera it’s one of our favourites, definitely in Vietnam 😊🙏🏻
Dalat was built and found by the France also Saigon and Hanoi and the railroads . Thank s the FRANCE. The freeway , the main roads in the South of Vietnam by the USA. Now Vietnam only modified them . China came to Vietnam to destroy and steal lands and Islands.

Mao killed 60 millions of Chinese in 1954 called The Great Leap to rob lands and golds , in the same year 1954 , Ho dog Minh killed 200 thousand of people in the North of Vietnam called The land Reform to kill the talented and rich people in the North of Vietnam . Nowadays Dong Tam village also in the North of Vietnam Anger in Vietnam over deadly 'land grab' raid by VC . In 2020 the communist party robbed lands and killed and sentence to death the poor farmers who were trying to keep their lands .

I was born and grew up in Dalat but moved to the US 20 years ago. You guys experienced more things in Dalat than I have ever done. Glad to see you like it there. Dalat is always the most beautiful city to me. Last year I took my husband there and he loved it.

Hahaha vietnamese love their fruits with salt and chilli. Usually we eat sour and crunchy fruits with salt and chilli. I know alot of westerners dont eat their fruit this way and I understand your opinion on the fruits you got in dalat. You can tell them to leave out the salt. Though vietnamese don't eat sweet fruit with salt only sour fruits.
Thank you for letting us know! The problem wasn’t the spicy salt, it was actually the shrimp paste and fish sauce🙊
@@RhettandClaire I actually forgot about that one because I haven't had it like that in years. The vietnamese use the raw shrimp paste which has a really pungent smell. You can also eat it with a cooked shrimp paste, its actually not bad; savoury and sweet. Though I prefer not to mask my fruits with other flavours so salt and chilli is the best.

I often travel to da lat city 5 times one year with my girlfriend because i love atmosphere, it is cool and clear. Da lat have very beautiful pass, ex fren pass

If you will come back to Dalat next time . Let me know , I will take you to some other beautiful places in that town . I lived in DL since 2001 . BTW , have ever tried the Nem Nuong Ninh Hoa in Nha Trang ? It's much better than the one in DL

The "pizza" wrap was a Banh Xeo (Bon Say-o), lots of different ways to make it and inevitably some better than others

i think you should stay at least a month in Dalat, and take the bus/Taxi to Phan Rang for the beach - it's 2hrs away
The Vietnamese pizza is extremely delicious, but that wasn’t the stand that is known for the best. I highly recommend you guys to comeback and check out the “Crazy Lady” her pizzas are literally so good that she rejects people and people still are determined to eat her pizza! (:

A great video! I think you should refer to places with famous good food before experiencing, because the street food in Vietnam is very diverse, there are many famous dishes but not every restaurant is delicious 😄

I have a question, I'm planning a trip to Vietnam next summer and originally I planned to only visit Saigon for a couple weeks but now your vlogs have piqued my interest in visiting places like Da Lat, Nha Trang, and Da Nang 😊 I feel that your two days in Da Lat packed a lot into a short time but is it possible to do a similar thing over two weeks to go from Saigon to maybe another city or two?
o o wow! Thank you so much, you have no idea how much this comment means to us🙏🏻. It is definitely possible to do 2, 3 or even 4 cities within a 2 week period. We would suggest that you start in Saigon, go to Mui Ne or Nha Trang, Da Lat, Da Nang, and Hoi An. You can see most of these cities in about 2 or 3 days 😊. We would have loved to have visited Ninh Bình and Sapa valley too so if you have the chance, visit them as well!

You are correct . The da lat pan cake taste terrible, and it tastes bad all the same no matter where you are in ‘Nam. Just a bunch of junk inside a rice roll. It’s a new age snack that is popular with the young crowd.
To be honest, we could not agree more. It was one of the worst things we've ever eaten😢

I just had my first Vietnamese Pizza in Ho Chi Minh City today and I was also a little bit disappointed and I thought exactly the same that maybe I was just at the wrong place haha

Food seems very high-starch, high-carb. It's not just you two, but other vloggers from Vietnam. Also, compared to the US, the food stalls seem very unsanitary. Is that a problem, or is it all in my head?
We’ve heard that the Vietnamese diet isn’t the healthiest but the government have created the “Healthy Vietnam program” to try and encourage the locals to life a healthier lifestyle. Foreigners often have upset stomachs after eating Vietnamese street food so I’m sure the stands aren’t always sanitary. That’s why we try to eat foods that have been cooked in front of us😊

Was stationed in Dalat in 1968 with the 87th Engineering Battalion working on the extension of the airstrip . Looking at your videos it’s not the Da Lat I remember.

We were there for 9 months and just wanted a change of scenery ☺️. Bali had always interested us and we loved that it had more nature (we’re nature lovers). It all happened so quickly so that’s why we never made a video🙈
I'm in Vung Tau and Da lat is on my agenda but Vung Tau is hot and I don't have a jacket or socks, I'm 6ft and 200lbs, do they have Xlarge in Dalat, bought a XXlarge shirt in Vung Tau and can't even get it on, so, was wondering what size you wear, you "Columbia" jacket fits you well.
Bruce Nolan hey there. The Columbia jacket was the largest they had and it was a tight fit. Especially on the arms. I’m 6.1” and 190lbs. Since we travel a lot I’ve already ditched it unfortunately. Just wasn’t worth keeping as it didn’t fit well enough.
They did have other types that were a bit bigger so you may find something else that would fit.
