I agree with what you said JJ. I am so frustrated about them doing nothing at the winter meetings. I do totally understand the reasoning of not getting crochet and tucker, not giving up top prospects for a player who may not even re-sign with you after next season. But there are other creative things they could have done. Other players they could have signed. It's the true lack of nothing that irritates me. There was barely even any rumors of them being in on anyone. And I don't have a lot of confidence left since they clearly overestimated Bohm in their own minds and didn't expect that his name would not carry much weight with other teams. How they totally miscalculated his importance is frightening. I'm not upset about Soto, I never wanted him, and the amount he got paid, I would not have wanted the Phillies, to pay to 1 player. If you have $765 million, buy a whole team. To me Soto, is not worth it, Ohtani was, because to me Ohtani is a once in a generation player. Soto is a great player, but there are and will be other great players. Just my opinion. So, after my ramble, who is out there via trade or free agency that you want? I will take Bregman, and Luis Robert. I would sell Bohm to a minor league team!

How can you come out with more content about an organization that is basically motionless in hibernation? Reminds me of a good line from a movie: “The patient’s condition has stabilized. He’s dead.” The Phillies’ lack of activity is startling to me! I have seen this Ball club go into “Fire sale” mode more than once and it normally starts with a lack of quality transactions. I’m afraid we are on the cusp of another Fire sale at the end of the upcoming 2025 season. Players are getting older and not being replaced while others need to be perused to join the Phils. “Good enough” is not the appropriate mindset from the Organization leaders.
