      my life energy is fueled by kpop memes But unfortunately that "piece of cloth" isn't just a piece of clothing. It is significant, it means something - rather like a swastika. This doesn't excuse treating these women badly, of course.

      raphael44ify bro wearing hijab is freedom rather than oppression, you do only for the sake of Allah in Islam, in this time of age, people sexualise you when you in the street or shops, but when you wear it they don't think about you that way

      There are much more serious questions that need to be asked muslim girls than those shown in the video:
      Examples include :
      FGM, ( it IS being practiced in US, EU)
      polygamy,
      punishment FOR GETTING RAPED,
      freedom in general for muslim women

    • @Nico.Robin7
      @Nico.Robin7 6 ปีที่แล้ว +102

      Frenemy Well seeing as I'm a Muslim girl myself I'll answer some of your question.
      FGM?? I have no idea what that is. Mind explaining?
      Polygamy. It's not illegal. And it concerns both party as long as they're happy about it and they agree to it I don't see what the problem is. It's the same as the open relationship you have in the west both parties love each other both they still get with other people. And if that's not considered wrong I don't see why marrying 4 wife's is.
      Punishment for getting raped. Does that even happen??? Where?? In Islam we believe in fairness and getting raped is completely out of your control hence why you shouldn't be punished for it and if you are then the person doing it is in complete wrong.
      Freedom. Freedom of what sort are we talking about?? If it's freedom to be oneself then who said as Muslim women we don't get freedom??? None forces us to wear hijab it's out of own initiative. Don't know if you noticed but a lot of other Muslim women's don't wear hijab now a days if they really didn't have freedom like you claim do you think they would be given that option to not wear it.
      Idk why people think the being a Muslim women equates to unhappiness but that's not true. I'm speaking for myself but I'm really happy. If Islam hasn't found me then I'd probably be a complete different person. Islam made me who I am today. And I'm really happy. I thank Allah for this blessing. And I'm sure my other Muslim sisters would agree with me on this. 😊

      @lazy hill boy shame on those people. We are not supposed to judge anyone. Abuse, rape, shaming, bullying, judging; all these things are wrong and a rightful muslim will not engage in these. Everyone makes mistakes though, but it is important to learn from them and better yourself. Those abusive parents forcing and shaming their kids or others are not correct. They should know better than that but sometimes they think they are doing the right thing but it is not. I am so sorry that you know people or have seen it happen. I feel sad that you have that image about Islam. Not your fault, their fault for doing bad things and making people believe it is their "belief"
      Sorry for this 5 page reply.

    • @eminasaur4272
      @eminasaur4272 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @lazy hill boy there it is again.
      There is nothing wrong with islam. There is something wrong with people who believe it. Somehow they feel like they have the right to do or say certain things because they believe it is wrong. But the way they handle stuff sometimes is not how it should be. And that is what i am trying to make you understand. Nail polish is not allowed. Fact. But nobody has the right to tell someone or shame them for wearing it. Every human can decide for their own. Especially an adult.
      I understand it is very hard to explain to a non muslim, especially though a pc or phone screen. Please do not believe that abusers and rapists or even terrorists are doing it because islam says so. That is mental ilness. Nowhere did i find in our bible (qur'an) that those things were good and allowed.
      And i respect your opinion and do not mean to insult you in any way. Just wanted to say that because reading somethinf can always be intterpreted different

    • @eminasaur4272
      @eminasaur4272 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @lazy hill boy look, i am not defending those who make those choices. What you fail to understand is that what those people do is not right. No matter what they say, islam will not justify what they do against any human, no matter what they are or who they believe in. I am muslim. I am learning everything about it. Why am i not assaulting anyone or forcing anyone? Why am i not judging women for wearing nail polish or walkinf around half naked? I mean i believe in islam, that is what they teach us right?
      It hurts my feelings that you think i defend those who are bad.
      And i understand that that is your opinion. Being gay or lesbian is not allowed in islam, but a human is a human, everyone should be treated with respect. If we follow our rules, then we should not even hurt a fly. So why a human?
      It is hard for me to stand up for my religion, because it is always the bad things that people remember. The bad muslims, the ones who claim they do it for their religion.
      Because of them, good muslims are being sucked up in that image.

    This is my hijab story! So it all started when I was in Kindergarten. I had this best-friend who wore the hijab, and I was kinda jealous. But I never did anything about it. Stuff really went down when I was in second grade. That was the year my sister and I rebelled against my mother. It was a few months after school began and my bestfriend and I had the same class. I would talk to her about her hijab and tell her that I wanted to wear one, then she would say something along the lines of "then you could wear one", but then I would say something along the lines of "I can't. My mom won't let me".
    And my mom wouldn't let me because she she said once I started wearing the hijab I wouldn't stop, but I really didn't care. So one day, my sister and I snuck hijabs into our school bags and went to school with it. At the bus stop we put it on and went to school like that. We made a big mistake by forgetting to take it off when coming back home, but we didn't so my mom . . . gave us a talk.
    And so not long after that my mom allowed my sister and I to start wearing the hijab to school and boy oh boy was I happy! About 7 years later and I've grown so attached to it that I don't even take it off in the house. It makes me feel protected in a sense. So yeah. This is my hijab story. If you took your time reading it than thank you!!

They are very conservative so I am nervous that they won’t accept or let me wear a hijab so wish me luck! I love my religion and I am proud! May Allah bless you all!

      Hi I think it is possibly because in western countries (or at least in predominantly christian countries ) people are just more used to see a nun who
      covers herself for modesty since she’s a cleric rather than an ordinary (muslin) woman who covers herself for the same exact reason. Probably people think it’s obvious that a clerical person wants to cover to give a strong statement about his/her faith but not a common person living into society... they kinda think: why doing such a thing when you can just be “”normal””? I also believes that if we have this kind of beliefs, He won't let us down, ever. If something bad happens, it's for our own benefits as well. It means He want to make us stronger and to stop sexual harassment from spreading, to protect our daughters and innocent girls from getting the same fate.

    My mom started wearing hijab when I was in middle school by her own decision, I started wearing a hijab when I was a freshman in university by my own decision, on 2nd semester to be exact.. when I told my parents that I want to wear a hijab EXACTLY they also asked 'Are you sure?' XD 'Do you seriously committed to wear it?' lol Because they never ever ask me to wear hijab haha then asked, 'Why?' (They asked why because in that time I really love to dress up with wide shoulder neckline outfit and knee-length skirt and playing with my hair haha I mean, like I really like to styled my hair since I was in high school too. I'm known to have different hairstyle and dress up like a main singer in a band lololol. But I also comfortable too when I wear hijab in special occasion for religion purposes). And simply I answered, 'I just want to wear it, and I feel comfortable so why not permanently wear it hehehe'. Then my parents like 'ok' and asked me to try to use hijab the next day I went back to my dorm in university. WHAT'S FUNNY IS ONE OF MY MALE FRIEND TOLD ME 'oh please are you serious you want to wear hijab? you seriously better not to wear it' 'please are you really serious?' hahaha he's so funnyyyy he also always try to look to my phone gallery XD (I deleted all my instagram post that contained me not wearing hijab). Days later I officially permanently use hijab until now, it has been almost 5 years! Before that I often mistakenly being non-islam, christian to be exact as I look more chinese/japanese and in my country many chinese is chistian (love my christian friends

      Leonardo Da Vinci You are really wrong. I'm not denying that there are family and country who force to wear hijab but not majority. Most muslim women chose to wear hijab without any force. Hijab shouldn't be banned anywhere, that is not human rights. Human rights is letting people do what they want, wear what they, be what they want as long as they are not doing anything criminal.

      Leonardo Da Vinci No Islamic law in the Internet? Islam goes all the way honey. I do have freedom of speech as a Muslim, I often lead my assignment group, even if there are men.
      Because the real Islam allows us to be who we want. What do you mean by second class citizenship? Everyone do need a guardian in their life, be it parents, be it husband, be it wife, they guard in their own way. My husband doesn't have the right to hit me without any concrit reason, well in real Islam, don't act like non muslim husbands doesn't hit their wife. The reasons is because the nature of women themselves. Inheritance are divided based on the children's responsibilities, which women have non. Islam never said we are deficient in intellect, in Islam, we believe that men and women have different strength. It's a reference on sex, there's a verse in Quran on that. Both genders need to cover up, just our aurah is different since our anatomy is different. The punishment for nusyuz? The wife deserve that punishment. What do you mean the rules are different? Both genders can't marry non muslims, where did you get that? The hadith on syahid getting 72 virgins is very specific, there's a lot to determine whether his death is actually syahid or not. Because women makes more sin, the thing is, it's really easy for women to enter heaven and it's also really easy for women to go to hell.
      Men doesn't have to explain why women should accept all this things. What double standard? What inequality? I'm a muslim therefore my selfworth is really high. I'm not indoctrinated at all. I've never felt fear of being ostracized, my country is diverse. Peer pressure? Nah, my peers are pressured by me. What critical thought should I be thinking about? I have freedom being a muslim, and I do control my fate. We have rights in Islam, more than women of the other religions do.
      In Islam, everything happens for a reason. You just need to know the reason for you be a happy muslim 😊.

      Leonardo Da Vinci All are not acceptable and about our Prophet Muhammad marrying a 9yo Aisyah, first, her age was never really confirmed 9yo, second, if she was that age, it doesn't matter, it was the norm at the time, just like the gypsies, it's their norm to marry early, it might sound wrong to us, but it's their norm. Respect our religion by doing a proper research about Islam, not just making conclusion based on what media showed you.

    May I stay strong in keeping my hijab starting May/June next year. I feel like its a scary thing because I'm not used to wear hijab and it took me 4 years to convinced my mum but at the same time, I'm excited and I am looking forward to increase my knowledge in my religion. Its going to be a challenge and I might be tested upon wearing it but hopefully, I can pass through it and keep on living solely for Allah S.W.T as well as keep an equal balance between the world and Hereafter.
    Its a big decision and I never thought of wearing as early as next year because of family issues (different religion with my grandma, aunts and cousins from my mum's side) but its in progress and its happening.
    Its a strange feeling because I know there will be lots of challenges coming but at the same time I can't wait until May/June 2020 comes. Its strange but I feel excited and happy at the same time.

      @Carolynska S she's just following her cultural roots. You might think it's religious but it's not, it's part of the culture to behave in a certain way when you become aware of you being aged.
      In fact, quran recommends the OPPOSITE to older women. Modesty is recommended for BOTH male and female but whe' a woman gets old, she can be looser on her... Dress code.
      As for pictures, no comment, nothing regarding this in quran. What you've read/heard are remnants from ante-Islamic beliefs, " before Islam" and converts included it later in a new form.

    • @celestialvenus6711
      @celestialvenus6711 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      @Carolynska S I could easily answer all your questions, but first let me ask you one. Are you here to gain knowledge, or mock our faith? Are we asking you to wear the Hijab? No. Do you live under the shariah? Assumably, no. Do you want to know the reasons we are told to do what we are told to do? No. Are you being forced to convert? No.
      Then why are you here, watching a video on Hijabi women? Just to taunt? Spread hate? If you actually cared about Islam, you'd be researching with heavy books or listening to learned scholars, rather than leaving comments on some video.
      So maybe this isn't the right place for you. Hear me when I say this: WE. ARE. TIRED. OF. DEFENDING. OUR. FAITH!!!!!
      If you have a problem with our beliefs, leave. Please.

    • @celestialvenus6711
      @celestialvenus6711 5 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      @Carolynska S I have read my book. With translation. With Tafseer. Multiple times.
      The problem with people like you is that you take the Quran and tear it to pieces. Forget the context. Forget the era. Forget the rest of the verse.
      You guys take what you need and throw out the rest.
      As for black people, The Prophet said that any man who has yellow skin is not better than the one with white skin, who is not better than a black skinned person, who is not better than a brown skinned person, except on the basis of Taqwa (faith). That is a better standard of equality than America has gained to this day.
      And I wear the Hijab because my looks are irrelevant to my contribution to the world. My looks should not be an asset to getting a job. It should be skill and work.
      I find the Hijab liberating. I don't have to give in to the modern pressures of society. I don't have to succumb to irreachable standards of beauty. My body is a temple, not a toy.
      And before people call me a terrorist, they ought to glance at their nuns or the statues of Mother Mary.

    2,proving your trust and faith of Allah by doing what he says and this leads to feel more safe

      FATEMA PUAL true, but many people still think that Muslims can't be any race but middle Eastern. And it would be cool to see representation you know 😌

      FATEMA PUAL but it would show diversity in Islam to those who think only middle eastern are Muslims.

      Tauby Girl It’s not called hijabis, stop calling it that. If you wear hijab then you are muhajaba, not a hijabi, hijabi means my barrier. It’s like you’re saying I’m a my barrier. God bless you

    These women had a choice. Most of them live in the West. Make a video on random Muslim woman from Saudi Arabia who chose not to wear a hijab. Ohh Wait... you can't. Because women from other religions are also made to wear a hijab there. Stop spreading half truths and face facts please.

    I decided to wear hijab last week, I've been thinking about this for more than a year. Did i force to wear this by my muslims people or family or friends? No, they said "it's ok if you don't wanna, it's your choice. We will support you no matter what" But the times i was find out about it, i tried to wear it, talked to myself in the mirror. Then last week idk why i feel comfy, my heart felt warm, and i cried looking into the mirror that i feel pretty wear it so yea here i am

    I'm not a muslim.., but i have muslim friends, and i study to understand muslim little by little.
    And then i saw these womens talking about wearing hijab in youtube talking about their faith and the comfort of wearing hijab.
    It made me rethink about beauty and comfortable.
    I mean, i was so amaze of the power of hijab it doesn't only protect you by the creeps but also can protect your self esteem.
    I saw a lot of girls and womens struggling about the looks, being insecure..
    And i think if they know the love of god, and how precious they are and learn about simplicity..that you don't have to match to standard. everything would be much easier i think.
    That's what hijab thought to me.
