Yeah one would thing there would be some way to fudge this outside EEA at least since the functionality exist within windows now (both 10 and 11). How it works is that you can uninstall the edge app itself, and there is a separate edge webview thing that is kept on the system in the app list that can't be uninstalled, presumably for the system functions that still need an embedded web view.

Otherwise, Steam and proton works on most modern distro that carry BOTH lib32 and lib64 and one just follows Steam installation instruction. Other than that, to make it even easier, use Steam flatpak, you don't even need lib32 on host AT ALL.

I use win 11 in a recording studio. Windows can be set up in 2 hours - all the other stuff takes 2 years, so if MS buggers around with my system, unless I can re install from a disk image - I'm screwed. Since you gave me the ability to lock down the system, I was always at their mercy. Now I can strip-down windows the the very basics and it just works - every day!

That new O&O pop up is really great, love having that agency for..everything but also to ensure nothing can go wrong. This utility is absolutely amazing at making windows so much less bloated.
The only thing i've noticed in both of my quite powerful rigs, is that after i run them for the first time, in regards to tweaks, some games like WoW will (rarely) have weird network issue like, basically being stuck like waiting for like 10-15 secs to get a response from the server (on a fiber connection, 5800x and 7950x3D CPUs, there are no slouches in handing...WoW) and then everything comes up all together in the screen and mashes up in an accelerated way, and again, this only happens after i run the script on said PCs for the first time, i have never experienced this on any installation which i have not applied the script and since building and fixing PCs is my job you understand in how many other PCs i've tested this, thousands in fact, so, does anyone know if the script changes something with the network somehow and causes that phenomenon to happen because as it is running the tweaks some times i see ti setting a network related value from zero to an astronomical value and i wonder if it's related to that, maybe it's just completely unrelated tbh.
Thanks to anyone contributing to the script by the way, sincerely.
