Mark Softer breaks the decal down to fit over complex surfaces. Mark Setter also helps in conjunction to get watersides to stay down. Though a lot of people have switched to Microsol and Microset for waterslides.
XTB has done water slides before, I think it was with their Trailbreaker. Did not like the idea at first but after having tried it, not that bad. Water slides are actually pretty easy to apply and very forgiving as compared to stickers, in the aspect of getting them placed just right. They also apply very well to uneven areas like sculpted details much better than stickers or dry rub.
Did someone in a meeting say, "this looks great, but I've had a great idea to get it really wrong. STICKERS!!"
Water decals. but that would be up to you to use...LOL

Good to know.
It's a terrible idea if you're not a model builder.
It’s not the first time they’ve done this with stickers, they did this with all of their Diaclone repaints too. Poor show, really.
Stickers or water decals? I personally did not know. Thank you for the insight.
@ Stickers with their red Paean recolour, Ono and waterslides with their other Diaclone recolours of Paean and Aegis
@@randal_graves AH! I see! I only get the "mainstream" characters myself.
