Forgive doesn’t mean trusting again or tolerating abuse. Some People set boundaries to protect themselves from further harm. Boundaries are not grudges
I'm not sure how-to do that I have 4 grown children and 3 daughter in laws. 1 son in law. 10 grandchildren. I'm 65 a recent widow. Many hurtful things have transpired with family. I'm feeling overwhelmed by the situations that they have created in my life.Blaming me for whatever and no compassion for what I'm going through. The loss of my husband is the most unsettling time thus far in my life.I just want peace and to live again ! Prayers appreciated.

I have a lot of forgiving to do I'm in the process but the pain is so fresh it's hard.....I feel so betrayed and don't understand what I did to deserve this all . If anything I've always been more than nice and truthful. I feel so rejected for being that way. I don't want my heart to become Rock hard I love Jesus too much ❤

@@diegomora6030 I so agree with you brother but it's hard not to start to feel resentful. I guess there is being nice and being just too nice which has been a problem all my life now I won't make a mistake and Learn to balance it while maintaining my boundaries. Even Jesus demonstrated that.
I feel the same way. I want truth and the ability to express how I really feel about things,especially in my relationships. But when I have ,I'm attacked.People want war not peace or an honest relationship. I feel like all my relationships are built on lies. Everything is fine as long as I play the game. So empty and shallow. Please Lord help me see these situations through your eyes. Give me wisdom and discernment and direction in these tangled relationships. In Jesus Mighty name Amen.

I haven't slept well in months, I am unable yo forgive my father who stole all my property through manipulation and deceipt just when I had reached 50. How do I start all over as a single parent of two. Am now poor, I struggle to even buy food or pay rent. Am too ashamed for having trusted him.

I forgive but certain things trigger my anger and I relapse. What can I say I have faults I'm only human. If you (referring to humans) only knew how bad they scarred me, physically, mentally and emotionally. But again I relapse and I'm sorry. It's best to stay away from me if you hurt me in the past, even if have I never seen you, I know you and can feel you in spirit.

Forgiveness is or should be a given for any Christian. If Jesus forgave me of all my horrible sins then I have NO excuse but to do the same. But that doesn't give me carte blanche to expect people to keep forgiving me when I don't repent. The Bible says to repent and if you sin against someone, go to them and then give your gift at the alter, instead of waiting around expecting them to come to you and rescue you so you can keep doing the same thing over and over and over again. It's a matter of reconciliation, NOT forgiveness. How can I respect someone who doesn't take responsibility for themselves and the things they say and do?
