@@jregulatori4672 I agree, it could be a never ending game of cat and mouse but it is up to them to pursue. I bought 200 hoverboards to sell a few years ago coming up to Christmas and every couple of days my add was removed because segway complained and various outlets did not check their claims first. The only mention of them in any of my adds was that we are in no way affiliated with segway llc and after a couple of weeks my add stood. The point is they were all over it, and if we had have broken any copyright laws they would have had us in court in a flash. It was actually quite impressive how on the ball they were. The likes of bones and spitfire etc make more than enough money to be able to put teams together for this, it's protecting their customers and protecting their brand. Even an add campaign to say buy local, buy genuine or whatever. Use a unique code on each packet, then verify legitimacy online? They could do all sorts of things but at the end of the day, they're doing nothing. Instead Mr Degros is over here informing people there are fakes out there..

Where I have a small engine business I have a great relationship with one of my local industrial supply house, they sell bearings and all kinds of related items for industrial applications. I order my bearings from them for my skates and my scooters. They are very high quality and have been working extremely well. I actually set up my buddy when he had his skate shop in Halifax with that supplier and he sold a lot of those bearings when kids needed a couple bearings to get them going again or when they couldn't afford a new set of bones or other skate bearings. I was thinking the same about the Bones Swiss. Amazon is so lame to sale this. But some well known skateshop was selling some bad wheels for the price of pre- pandemic SpitFire F4. I saw some Girl skateboards wheels for 50$ can, but in fact it’s the soft cheap wheels they put on them kids completes. It’s so ridiculous.

On holiday in Vietnam I bought a "the north face" backback for €20, worth €120. Because the company produces in Vietnam. I bought Bones reds in local shop, made in china printed on them. Bought a creature board at another local store, made in china too. Sourcing out production to china to increase profit seems legit for companies. Selling b-ware for half price or less seem legit for asian production facilities.

I know a couple of people who use them and their boards seem to roll really well they're very affordable but don't seem to have quite the same endorsement as bones Reds but they're in the same price range and I thought it would be a cool video for a comparison

  • @starcitizenshenanigans

They make 1:1 Rolexes, they are more than capable of making 1:1 Skate wheels. The manufacturers are well aware of the differences, it's more about whether they bother or not... they really don't need you to tell them where the differences are, but consumers do.
Cos guess what, if consumers don't know they could in fact by fake Spitfires for full price. Them being cheaper or more expensive isn't a true indicator on whether or not the product is real.
