Excellent Video! I had KW on order for my 2023 Road Glide for 2 months and they still have not come in. I cancelled my order and went with the Rinehart 4.5" HP45XL MIDNIGHT EDITION SLIP-ON MUFFLER FOR HARLEY TOURING. They sound Fantastic!!!!! I had also heard on several FB pages I follow the the KW's have an issue with the Tips showing rust and or discoloration and KW was not willing to replace them or do anything about it. That said, this did not happen directly to me just what I read on several different post. Who knows what gave rise to the rust issue...
Stinks you weren’t able to get them. The initial quality of mine is spot on. All sorts of reasons things can rust. Bry, who I shot the video with has had these for two years and they look great. Thanks for watching, and I hope you’re enjoying your Road Glide as much as I’m enjoying mine. 🤙🍺😎
It's the Mustang deluxe touring. Not sure what you mean by the add on bag savers? Do you mean the 4 point docking hardware for the tour pack? Thanks for watching and subscribing, should have some new content soon. 🤙🍻🤙
These were already installed on my 23 street glide special when I bought it. My favorite sound is building up some rpms and letting off the accelerator. It puts out an awesome roar.
There was no gasket to install, so I couldn’t show it. According to the service manual only bikes sold in certain markets have gaskets. If there would’ve been gaskets to show I would not leave that out. If required, leaving them out would not be a good idea. Thanks for watching.
@MisplacedMotoVlogger The harley stock slip ons have gaskets.I wouldn't install my KW slip ons until I ordered some.Otherwise you'd be 'crushing' the slip ons to get them to bite onto the headers.
@@MrMurphc13 Nope, no gaskets on the stock slip ons, maybe you’re thinking of the Soft Tails? Like I said, the service manual states “if equipped” as well as “Select markets” Mine was not equipped with gaskets.
@MisplacedMotoVlogger OK but mine was.I have a new Road King Special.I know what I'm talking about.Id be surprised if the US harleys didn't have muffler gaskets.....otherwise HD would have to make different diameter pipes for different markets.I doubt they do.
Correct, they don't come with any baffles, but do sound really good. Haven't had a chance to get any of the baffles they offer, but I've watched a few videos on them. Seems like it is mostly a tone change. Thanks for watching.🤙🍻
Curious, was your bike purchased outside of the U.S.? From what I’ve heard only models sold outside the U.S. require a gasket. It is listed in the service manual that way too. Thanks for watching.
@@fabienguilloit979 I sure does sound better in person. I’m not really sure why Harley used gaskets on the non-US bikes. Possibly an emissions thing? Hope you have a great riding season. 👍😎
I put a set of then slip ons on my '05 Electra Glide Classic and I was only getting heat out of the right side pipe. The left side pipe stays ice cold. Will this hurt the engine or anything??
@MisplacedMotoVlogger the pipes was for a newer model for the 3" exhaust but I bought a reducer from 3" down to the size I needed to fit my exhaust. Do you think that's why? And you think it won't hurt nothing to run them??
Hahaha! Actually he was not. I have seen him ride, and somewhere I have video evidence of him giving a CanAm rider a wave. Keep that quiet though. Lol Thanks for watching Paul.🤙🍻🤙
For just doing slip-ons you don’t really need one. This is what I was told from a few Harley mechanics. If you add a high flow air filter as well, then it requires a tune.
Took my off after 200 miles , could not hear the radio , and i like talking with my wife . I could not see doing 800 miles and not talking to my wife , because we can not hear each other ,Stock pipes for me .
Interesting, I’ve heard of some brands having an annoying drone going down the highway, but KW always seemed to get good reviews for that. Thanks for watching and commenting. 👍
Yea by far KW has the best looking muffler with a doubt my opinion the SVT Boneshakers has the best sound are jackhammers but yea yea I know everyone uses the old clamps but they are compression clamps and do loose some ump after used like I said I know a lot reuses them it’s just a clamp rite
They’ve only been on 6K miles, so hoping I can get away with reusing the clamps. I will be keeping an eye on them. If I do end up replacing them, I will update the video. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🤙🍺🤙
