I have been contemplating your question about why human design would calculate the unconscious sun and the unconscious chart three months before birth instead of conception. In a biological/physiological aspect, conception is a process. In a healthcare perspective, they count the two weeks before conception to calculate the due date. Also, if you don’t know when you became pregnant exactly, and the rhythms of your body have been off, you may never know for sure when the baby was conceived, just an estimate. 28 days is a normal cycle, and around the 10-14 day may be considered fertile for conception, but that varies for each individual. Also, having had two successful pregnancies, I know that the first trimester is usually the riskiest time for miscarriage. The second trimester gives a little more energy to the mother and more formation to the child, but it can still be possible to miscarry. The third trimester tends to be the most stable in terms of ability of a child to successfully be born, survive, and thrive - especially today when modern medicine has saved many babies born prematurely. The closer you come to the due date, the more likely the baby will be born with less complications, although I know very well complications can come at any time and at birth. There is also a perspective I’ve heard that explains how the fetus checks in and out of the womb, deciding whether or not they want to incarnate into this body/family/time/etc, checking in more often in the third trimester. For comparison, in my chart, the 3 months concept works very well because it exposes and unconscious area that was previously not exposed, except for my natal Chiron. If the concept was based on conception, or at least the time my mom thought she conceived, that would run parallel with my first house and true node and possibly cause confusion there. If it were six months prior, it would run parallel to my IC, which is already exposed as an unconscious point in the chart... I also feel intuitively that my soul desires to create a child with my unconscious sun, hence my daughter was born as a Leo sun. I know this will vary for everyone, but for me it seems to make sense with the three month calculation.
