    Never owned one, but that Nashville Telecaster . . . I'm sorry, but WOW! If it looks, feels and sounds as good in person as all the reviewers are claiming, I have got to get me one of those! Every single pickup setting (seven!) was distinctive and usable, with that middle Strat PUP making a huge addition to the typical Tele tonal range. No wonder the Nashville cats added it in there. Hmm . . . that butterscotch blonde with a maple fretboard sure looks lovely . . . 😎

    I may be quite alone with this, but I love the sound of the Strat middle PU alone so much!

    Thanks for a great video. I prefer the not noiseless pickups on the strat especially on the neck pickup. On the tele i prefer the noiseless pickups especially the neck pickup. Wow how warm that sound. I am not a fan of the regular neck pickup on a tele but the noiseless is amazing. You didnt show the split sound on the bridge on the tele if i understand right its also a different wiring and can sound very close to a humbucker if i get this right (or how you connect bridge with neck pickup) is there so? Different wiring? They talk about that in the andertons demo. Not a fan of the pau ferro fretboard and not a bone nut but this time the Tele wins

    I have essentially over time built that Nashville tele but with the squire walnut paranormal jazzmaster/tele hybrid body and a roasted maple neck and dimarzio pickups. AND STILL I feel the GAS. Good thing I cant afford it. I guess that's how DIY comes to be xD

  • @Aint1S

    I can tolerate a unrolled fretboard as long as the guitar makes me want to play it... The biggest, best thing that Fender did is by throwing away that cheap bridge meat tenderizer!Under no circumstances will I subject my hand to those awful, cheap, and down right painful bridge saddles! It hurts, it cuts, and without the ashtray cover, I won't touch the old telecasters without preparing the bridge with with rubber adhesive, silicone, or refinishing the metal. Sadly, I have to say that I prefer the dynamics of the new plus series and I regret it because I'm sure Fender is jacking prices for things that are a sidestep.
    I liked the bridge HB pickup because I forgot it wasn't a single coil and all of the pickups had good dynamics; both teles are useful IMHO.
    Guillermo, I haven't bought a Gibson in my lifetime, but if Fender keeps pushing into the American line prices... I'll gladly but a Gibson! (Just after I buy my last Fender, the Johnny Marr Jaguar... that's such a well put together guitar!)

    The strat colors look sooo childish and toy like that I didn't even bother watching the video up to the sound test. The visual disgust the strat gave me in the first 30 seconds or so was enough for me. On the other hand the tele looks very proper and sophisticated, something that'd still be desirable after a decade.

    Other TH-cam reviewers have also complained about the difficulty with pulling the push/pull knob on the HSS strat. Fender needs to fix that. It is too hard to use in the middle of playing.

    • @ThomannsGuitarsBasses
      @ThomannsGuitarsBasses  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure what they mean, it's a normal push-pull pot. I mean these pots are always a bit tricky to push or pull live, because it's an extra movement (switch pickups PLUS push or pull the pot). But that's the nature of this wiring. Cheers //Kris

    • @ClintsCrypt
      @ClintsCrypt 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ThomannsGuitarsBasses I don't think the issue was the push pull pot itself. They weren't complaining about the motion of using it. It was difficult for them to actually pull up. I think was because of the knob itself. Fender should have put a different kind of knob on that was easier to grip. It was hard for them to grip for some reason. Both Andy and Ryan said they found themselves having to put their fingernails under the knob to pull up on it. Andy even said he broke a nail doing it 🤣🤣🤣. They both said they would probably be changing the pot to something easier to use. Ryan did say by the end of the review that he thought the knob might be breaking in a bit and be getting easier to pull. Thanks for the great content. Have a great day!
