Job Description:
A Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in a kitchen or food service environment. The primary duties include washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment. The Dishwasher ensures that the kitchen has a steady supply of clean plates, glasses, and silverware for service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools using industrial dishwashers or by hand.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen area, including floors, walls, and countertops.
• Properly sort and dispose of kitchen waste and recyclables.
• Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients, when necessary.
• Organize clean dishes and equipment in their appropriate storage areas.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Report any maintenance or repair needs of kitchen equipment to the supervisor.
• Work efficiently during peak hours to keep up with the demand for clean dishes and kitchenware.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow and positive working environment.
Requirements:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and handle heavy items.
