You can buy Rider Backs in this tuck case directly from USPCC. They're not 808s, they consider them a different product, and they call them Bicycle 807 Playing Cards. bicyclecards.com/product/bicycle-807-playing-cards/ - you can even buy the empty tuck cases if you want (though they're more expensive than Costco Bikes) - bicyclecards.com/product/bicycle-rider-back-red-tuck-case/
you can also buy THE STANDARD from Theory 11 store.theory11.com/collections/playingcards/products/bicycle but if you have to order them online no matter what - why not buy the best?
@@magicorthodoxy Have you bought any of those? Do you get the old style tuck? The cards in the pictures are pretty old. If that's what you get, it's a good price.
The 807 s I ordered today have the same tuck case,,,,,the plot thickens .Also they have a black seal ,does that mean they're not from the Ohio factory?
Very very good review, brother. I really like the fact that you put in the educational info regarding the USPCC's presses and stock. That definitely adds much needed context, without which the value (in terms of quality) cannot truly be appreciated. Kudos 🙏 I personally found the USPCC thin crushed stock to be a little too fragile. However, these are (in my opinion) the very best thin crushed Bikes available today. The Richard Turner gold seal Bikes still remain my all time favourite Bikes though... man, they can take a pretty good beatdown better than any other Bikes!
Thanks Dave for the very detailed explanation of the production procedure! Btw, have you done a comparison between the current standard Bicycle/Tally-Ho Kentucky decks and the Blue Seal Ohio decks before?
Hi 🤗 Seems pretty good 😌 Are they “ better “ than the Supreme Line ? Even softer or thinner or .. ? Which ones do you choose between those 2 ( only cards feeling to perform not the case or extra cards ... ) As usual Thanks Great Review 😊 Always on top 👍✌️😎
off the shelf? You mean like from wal-mart? No, they have a "retail cut" as do 90% of USPCC decks - traditional cut is a special cut that costs the designers extra
@@magicorthodoxy gotcha thanks. I just figured mass produced (standards) would use the web press since they are huge runs. I have standards from Walgreens, Walmart, and rider backs that came via Amazon. So who knows. Haha. They interlace pretty well.
Does the red tear strip ever work? I always have to find something sharp to open Bikes. The red strip seems to be under the cellophane without any end sticking out to grab.
I think we may have a member's section review on the rise. I have been getting more and more involved in gaffing lately and have been shopping around for cards. PlayingCardDecks.com has their Expert Thin Rider Back Bicycle Playing Cards, but as far as I can tell by their descriptions the Elites are thinner. I Think Penguin has released blue Elites. So, these are similar stock the Elites, but with the different back designs. I still have some of the Cincinnati stock from around 2009, and of course the current retail decks. There is also a standard tuck case version of the retail stock being sold. You introduced me to the gold standards which have two and a half bricks now, as well as a couple bricks of the elites. I must say I love them all, and what I would really enjoy is a Magic Orthodoxy comparison of the rider back decks you have in your collection and even those you may have encountered but no longer have on hand! The member's section would shower you with praise and likes. :)
Nice overview! How do these compare to the Bicycle Elite edition cards or the Richard Turner Gold Standard cards (or even with the Aaron Fisher Conjuring Community cards). Are they really all that different or are all these cards pretty similar...
I would love to be able to print my own deck one day and meet a think of a really good design been working on it but haven't come up with anything I'm satisfied with yet great video
Going to play devils advocate here, for performances quite often a signature or ripping folding of cards happen, are 12 of these worth paying £72 vs £27 of 12 standard by circle playing cards with the same design?
Years ago David you said one of the decks you keep on your night stand was the Cobra deck. To this day that deck deck still feels unique and supple in the hands like no other. Just wondering if you are still a fan of it?
If you're a subscriber of this channel and you don't know already about the cards then you are not doing your homework "Magicians are usually the smarter guy in the room"
magicorthodoxy. It's all hype, there is nothing special about those playing cards. I have "Conjuror Community" and "Bicycle Standard Gold Seal" and the Gold Seal are still the best playing cards.

Love all the videos, my autistic son and I have been pouring through them. Cards have been a wonderful new tool for him.
oh awesome !!!
Why do you have to say your son is autistic? Just say MY SON. That’s it.
I do believe Virtuoso use also the web press. That’s why the super high quality of their decks.

I finally got to watch this video and man that is awesome news.

Loved this david!!! Always great to know how things are made. Keep up the great work
Glad you enjoyed it!
I saw the Bicycle old tuck boxes in a store once.
Great review, Dave! I am going to jump on these!

How much thinner are they than normal bicycle playing cards? I've had an awesome idea for a gaff deck but I need thin cards & thick cards.
If you need super thin cards, I'd get a double decker www.penguinmagic.com/p/3857
@@magicorthodoxy oh thanks for the suggestion, I'll order some & see what I can do 👍
How long does a thin playing cards last for and my rider back blue on a caliper is 2.94 mm of ten cards
I guess it depends on how well you take care of them - and what you put the deck through
If i take best care how long will they last?
Haha i was just Searching for an web press Review
TA DA !!!!
do they last long?
I guess it depends how much abuse they get and if you take care of them
Is it good for cardistry this thin crushed stock of tally ho? And will it last like orginal tally ho if i put them in the best care possible
All of those questions depend on what you like best and how well you take care of your cards
I might give these a try... though I tend to prefer the thicker stock...
:D
So what's the difference between these and the penguin elites they seem kind of similar
very very very similar. I dont think the Elites come in blue - nor the other back designs (and they dont say ELITE EDITION) on the tuck case
@@magicorthodoxy Yes they do!
Yep I bought a ton of them as well 😁
nice
Is monarch deck ,thin crushed???
it was probably printed before USPCC was offering that feature
@@magicorthodoxy so ,now ,the monarch decks which are coming ,are they thin??
@@nidhiclassxe903 So far i know all T11 decks are normal bicycle stocks. I would love T11 decks only if they are crushed stock.
I would love Elite more.

they are similar to the ELITE line from Penguin
So are the regular rider backs and standard editions not traditionally cut?

if you like to rip and fold your cards a lot or have people sign them - just buy your cards from the grocery store - save money

the T-Spring store - where it says "buy magic orthodoxy merchandise ..."
