You damn skippy, if your name's David Vizard! As far as video quality goes, I've always thought it was fine. Perhaps it helps to know what you're looking at.
Not especially scientific, but in the right light, I can just about start to see the reflection from the top of my head, using an 80 grit.
If you're anything like me that has more to do with how reflective your head is rather then how reflective the head on the engine is

I used to be a distributor for Dart and workd products back then. Hand porting for the shop at that time was $75 hour. Each set of heads had a time limit to finish. The smaller the port from casting added time onto the porter! The sportman II head led the pack for a long time. With less then 40 hours into them they could flow over 300cfm. Some classes restricted heads to a few low cc models. And porting was restricted to 1" from seat and gasket area. The base pro top line took that category every time.
Today...those prices are much higher. And the availability of after market heads shorten the time needed to match the flow requirements. The dart 235 will flow more then any >406-410 needs. Aluminum heads carry the same cost to port as a cast head. Much larger profits for the shops. What used to take 40 hours can be done in half that time. And top shops don't do them by hand anymore. The cnc mill does it in 2 hours and we still charge $1000 for a set. These late model heads have so many problems with casting quality that we dont even offer porting on them. If it's not a dart blank, we don't port them.

Recently gave a try to his Strategy and now I can testify that he's system is totally legit.
Let me tell you something, you need to be very dedicated To become both a CNC programmer, operator and a cylinder head porter, And Race Engine builder, I have alot of experience at it, over 30years with Engines. But I could think of plenty of better jobs to do. Here in Australia, you're wasting your time doing it as a job. If you want to beat the cocks, learn as much as you can, never give up but, "do it for yourself Only.
what are better fields to go into money-wise?
How are we meant to do that? None of the big guys will tell us their secrets, you get ambiguous videos with people telling maybe 80% of what you need to know and it would probably tell us enough to be dangerous!
